if you love asterix, you may enjoy the theme of this game, however there are better 'olympics/athletics' titles out there. it definitely doesnt look next gen, and some of the controls for certain events are just plain awkward. i rapidly lost interest after playing each event a couple of times. it might suit a few kids sat around trying to beat eachothers highscores though.

If you are renting this it is either for gamerscore or for your kids.

I did it for the former. 6hr story mode plus approx an hour to do the olympic events on both difficulties. It is very simple.

Not sure young kids would be able to solve some of the puzzles.

Oh, and the cut scenes are appalling - you can only skip some of them

  • More "Last Gen" than "Next Gen"

If you want a game featuring a character that doesn't seem to appeal to most people and that will bore you then look no further than this. The game-play is very simplistic. The graphics are more last gen than next gen. The story mode is long-winded and repetitive. After playing for an hour I had to stop due to boredom. As you play through the story you can unlock extras such as trailers to an Asterix movie I never knew existed and now that I do I never want to see it.

I thought this game would have the novelty that 'Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games' has but it doesn't come anywhere close. Unless you are a hardcore Asterix fan then I recommend avoiding this game.

Found this to be slow to play, better olympic games etc out there. Hard to work out what to do exactly. Not very straight forward.

This game will drive you crazy. You get stuck so often and is difficult to work out the most simple of tasks.

The story mode will take about 6hrs with a guide and the olympic mode about and hour.

Overall 1/10 only just a rental.

Only rent if you really really need the 1000gs.
