Very Good but Not on Wii or PS3
By awx (2 reviews) from Cumbria , 02 Jul 2012[Highly rated reviewer]
The game itself is very good, so long as you know the genre. It's a point and click story, along the lines of the Monkey Island games. It's all in the humour and storytelling and it's good, just like the BttF films.
Issue though is the console conversion - it's very poor with jumpy frame-rate, muddy visuals and a terrible control system.
You should play this game but get either the PC or Mac versions. It will run on a PC laptop or Mac from the last 3-4 years. The console ports (even the PS3) are not done well and would make you think the game itself was bad when it really isn't. So 2* for this but 4. 5* for the game itself on PC/Mac.- Was this review helpful to you?

(4)Wish it was better
By MarkL (6 reviews) from Wolverhampton , 07 Sep 2012I love Back the to Future, it's like my favourite film ever, so I was excited to play this game! But I have to say I was disappointed!
The idea and the story was brilliant, I loved that and that's how it got it's three stars, plus Christopher Lloyd voiced Doc Brown and this made me happy, but the game, as a whole, wasn't that good.
I don't think it helped that I played it on a Wii, a console I don't particularly like, but it isn't out on the Xbox - my console of choice. As the graphics were bumpy and the loading was slow, which was a little infuriating.
I just think it could have been so much better - and it may have been on the PS3 - I was just disappointed.- Was this review helpful to you?

Oh no. Not another FILM to Game Production
By PhYnYx11 (1 review) , 06 Jun 2012What a waste of time.
The GUI is poorly developed, and lacks finesse and control.
If the game was rated for 3+ YOA, (hence no bad language), I would not be so critical.
However, for a game based on a more mature audience, and fan-base, the story line is just plausible even if the cut sequences lack drama and necessity.
The graphics are mediocre even for the Wii. The soundtrack is poorly edited and Einstein looks like a pound mutt and not the iconic doc's loved friend.
The most disappointing part is, after such a great Trilogy of Films, the best a game developer could produce does not justify the price tag or the time wasted in trying to complete the game.
Please rent to be disappointed, or ignore entirely so as not to waste your life. Want adventure, great gameplay and game longevity? Stick to the LucasArts LEGO series and you cant go far wrong.- Was this review helpful to you?
