The legendary hero is back for another dose of caped crusading with the release of Rise of Sin Tzu on GameCube. Inspired visually by the more recent DC Comics scribblings - and thankfully without a pair of tights or 'outside underpants' in sight - the game delivers a dark and brooding third-person adventure in which players guide the hero on a mission to beat the hell out of all things evil. So who or what is Sin Tzu? Well, he just happens to be Batman's latest almighty adversary. A master in the deadly art of war, Sin Tzu is driven by a lone desire to conquer and, in search of only the worthiest of opponents, has descended on the oft-targeted Gotham City in search of the Caped Crusader himself. There are 12 atmospheric levels for you to fight your way through, including locales such as Gotham City Docks, Crime Alley, and Arkham Asylum. Not only does Batman make an appearance, but you can also choose to play as the legendary sidekick Robin, or even two other Bat-allies, Nightwing and Batgirl. And should things prove a bit too tough out there on the mean streets of Gotham, the game thankfully comes complete with a two-player co-op mode, so you can team up with a mate. As far as the actual physical stuff is concerned, you've got more than 35 powerful martial arts moves and combos at your disposal, assisting you as you face the relentless onslaught of villains. Thankfully, that famous utility belt also makes an appearance, providing you with a variety of handy gadgets and weapons, such as the Baterang, a grappling hook and smoke bombs. The whole development of Rise of Sin Tzu has been assisted by comic book luminaries Flint Dille and Jim Lee, so if you like your Bat-games to remain faithful to your Bat-comics then you've come to the right Bat-place.

I rented this as I have become a huge Batman fan since the big movies out lately and was so impressed by Lego Batamn that I thought I'd try another game to help me learn more about the Dark Knight.

What I was not expecting was a platform game that could have been easily released on the psone that had less to offer than streets of rage!

Although if walking in a direction forced on you by the game and simply kicking and punching endless 'badies' is for you, then this is the game for you!

I rented this as I have become a huge Batman fan since the big movies out lately and was so impressed by Lego Batamn that I thought I'd try another game to help me learn more about the Dark Knight.

What I was not expecting was a platform game that could have been easily released on the psone that had less to offer than streets of rage!

Although if walking in a direction forced on you by the game and simply kicking and punching endless 'badies' is for you, then this is the game for you!
