After the Beta...

After a ridiculous long session on the beta with some friends, and after playing a variety of modes, and messing with the features. This games gets 5*. The graphics are amazing, and it boasts an original gameplay, merging High speed racing, Burnout destruction, Classic PGR races, and great cars!
A new unique experience unlike any other! The first good feature, is the 'uncluttered' HUD, with your current powers being displayed behind your vehicle! Nice and neat !
The game features powers, which; during a race, you can unleash on your opponents to sway the way of the race in your favour- In short: Missile, Trap, Defence, Area Attack, and a quick light attack.
These power-ups are scattered throughout the track in sets, ready to be picked up and used! Furthermore there are also 'Mod Sets' (Modifications) which you can get and customise for you vehicle, and improve upon as you level up, which help you specialise, in being defensive, or aggressive play styles.
Although the beta doesn't feature all the game modes, it takes a healthy portion of the multiplayer for testing! Look forward to the full game!- Was this review helpful to you?

The whole thing was a blur

Need For Speed On Steroids

Good fun apart from ranking online
By Sprouts (8 reviews) , 30 Jul 2011Very original and fun,it's like mario cart but with real word cars,my only problem was the multiplayer ranking system-for anyone who has played a game like bioshock 2's online,or dead space 2 even,will understand my quarrel, levels 1-20 on the ranking is just a complete joke when your up against lvl 50s who have the best power ups and you get smashed off the road all the time-and then it gets tedious after prolonged play but racers will love it.- Was this review helpful to you?
