WAR... It's Fantastic!

WOW, I must say I was very impressed with what the developers have given us humble Wii owners.
Sure if you own a 360/PS3 it will look graphically superior, but the lack of high resolution, shiny textures and better lighting effects take nothing away from this immersive experience. The Wii's visuals are pushed to the maximum here too (much improved over Black Ops - which was guilty of looking quite ugly in places)
Treyarch are one of the few developers to give us Wii owners a decent multi-platform game and deliver a game for 'serious gamers'. They have crammed so much into this game, 10 players online with voice chat available, online co-op 'Special Ops' and the same single-player Campaign you'll find on PS3/360. The campaign is an action packed, non-stop roller coaster ride with over the top Hollywood style set pieces. It's worth a rental for the Campaign alone, though it only lasts about 5/6 hours. Presentation is brilliant throughout and you can choose to play with either Wii remote & Nun-chuck or a Classic Controller/Classic Controller Pro (again giving you as close an experience to playing the 360/PS3 version as possible, for those that don't own either)
There are a few short comings due to the Wii's processing power, aside from the drop in visual quality there is a drop in frame rate and occasional lag online. But Wii owners should be more than pleased with their version of MW3. Enjoy it because I think this will be the last Call of Duty game we see on Wii, but what a great 'swan song' to go out on.- Was this review helpful to you?
