the only word to describe this WOW! We're in for a real treat guys, Infinity Ward have been developing this for a while now (so much that they left Call of Duty 3 to a different developer, Greyarch, to make extra time), and to put it simply it's going to blow your socks off. The single player looks and plays great and the multiplayer is going to revolutionize online gaming in the biggest way since counterstrike.- Was this review helpful to you?

By IGN (29 reviews) , 18 Aug 2012I playd the multiplayer for the first time when I rented this, I did rent it before but only played single player. The COD haters say how the MW series are copied and pasted but let's be real here, now that I have played all three I can tell they each have its own character. When it was first released th graphics were amazing and it has only improved over the series. The multiplayer is very good, personally I prefer MW3 multiplayer because it suits teh way I play better with all the specialist perks and stuff. The maps feel somehow bigger than MW2 and MW3...I might be wrong. A lot of people say how these old cod titles are full of hackers but for the two hours I played I didn't come across a single lobby which was hacked, but again I only play Hardcore modes, maybe that's why- Was this review helpful to you?

The best Call of Duty, but, spoilt by hackers and other COD's

still,its fun, the campaign is great, unfortunately Mw2 and Mw3 have borrowed so much from MW1's campaign that it was pretty painful to play !
Online would be perfect...except its only a matter of time before some pre-big-boy-hair child uses his older brothers 10th prestige mod on your lobby and levels you right to the top. Thus ruining your game.

First Person Shooter

Hollywood blockbuster - slick, loud but unfulfilling
By Capers (6 reviews) , 26 Jun 2011Extremely slick and polished but I didn't find it particuarly fun. The multiplayer is extremely hard to get into for a newbie as everyone still playing have been playing for a very long time and are excellent players.
The single player is extremly dull. It's just a turkey shoot and the un-limited enemies spawning mechanic gets old very quick. The story is hilariously bad though, so it has that redeeming feature.- Was this review helpful to you?
