A bit repetitive
By a customer from London , 29 Nov 2009[Highly rated reviewer]
The concept and look of the 'Cate West...'is clearly based on 'Millionheir' but without the latter's sense of humour or indeed variety. Each level of the game consists of five main sections: (1) finding objects in scenes, (2) Spotting the difference between two images of the same scene, (3) finding multiple fragments of a single object which is scattered about a scene, (4) Guessing the criminal from a series of clues, (5) Putting objects back into scenes - a sort of reverse spot the difference.
Unlike 'Milliionheir', 'Cate West's' storyline consists of a series of crimes which form the different levels, However there is no variety between these levels (apart from finding more objects) so the repetition does begin to pall. Also the objects which you are intended to find in 'Cate West' are not as clearly rendered as they are in 'Milliionheir' and can therefore be quite hard to find on a DS screen. You may therefore reduced to, like I was, randomly dabbing the stylus around piles of blurry objects in an attempt to find an obscure object - gaining a time penalty in the process.
Overall it is okay, but 'Millionheir' was better.- Was this review helpful to you?
