Nice idea, poor execution

I rented this game not really knowing much about it, but it sounded like a decent idea, so i thought i'd give it a go..........very repetative and boring is the reality of this game i'm afraid. I spent just an hour playing this before realising i could be playing a game which was exciting and ..... well, good to be honest. You basically do these little mini games to get points (sparks as they call it) to move onto the next level, as you get these 'sparks' you get items to put in your little world (most of which are rubbish) you can paint it put flowers down etc etc..............that though is about it, all i can say is that after receiving it today, it is on its way back to the post box as we speak. In a nutshell, unless your intrigued about what the mini games are like, don't bother wasting your rental- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer , 11 Mar 2012Create is a game that most gamers will consider quite original Simply because its nearest likness is a game that was made in the 80s for DOS PCs
its long winded in manyways and will frustrate entertain annoy bore and try your patients at the same time
if you have the time available then its a full 1000 points easy but dont think its a 1 day deal at the start it may seem that way but the challenges soon get hard to figure out how to go about it- Was this review helpful to you?

Good idea but just too stilted
By OddGodHMK (8 reviews) , 10 Aug 2011Create is, at its heart, a good idea, albeit not a unique one. The premise is simple: You have a series of challenges to complete - which amount to getting objects to desired locations - and you have to do so by using other items in the game to help them along. You might, for example, need to get something hanging from a balloon over a ravine. Presto! Insert a fan and blow it across.
It is, sadly, quite poorly executed. The challenges simply aren't exciting. They're largely simplistic, and often highly straightforward. Not only that, but the game feels very stilted, slow and plodding. Combined with poor controls - rotating things, particularly 2D things like the fans, can be an art in itself - and a camera that sits far too close into the action without any zoom out option for people who, like me, want to be able to see their entire Create field, the idea simply has not been executed upon very well.
For all its bright colours, simple puzzles and pace, this is a title I can see children enjoying. For anyone else, though, it's just not fun. Disappointing.- Was this review helpful to you?

Would be a perfect phone app

I do think its more of a time waisting game when you have to fill 20mins before work than one you can sit and play for a few hours- Was this review helpful to you?
