Absolutely stunning

Bought this game on release and haven't been able to stop playing it since. From the beginning of the campaign you know that it's going to be amazing, and it is. The story is gripping, you really feel like the fate of New York is in your hands, if you fail, so does humanity. I started on super soldier which is the highest difficulty and I found it really fun. It isn't too hard to the point where you're pulling your hair out, but it does offer a tough challenge. The games strongest point in my opinion is the options you have available. If you're finding a certain part too hard, then it's time to change your strategy, most battles can be totally skipped if you're the sneaky type, or won without firing a single bullet if you take advantage of the stealth kill feature.
The multiplayer is superb, CRYTEK really out did themselves with it. Just like the single player, there's a wealth of options with how you want to play. Your suit heavily affects your performance, customise it properly based on your playstyle and weapon choice and you'll stand a much better chance in combat.
Overall this is one of the best FPS games I've played this generation of gaming. It makes a nice change from the usuals and I'm very greatful we console gamers got this game.- Was this review helpful to you?

Brainy FPS

so boring
By JHFP (2 reviews) , 29 Apr 2012The game looked good on the trailers but when I actually played the game it was pretty boring. Once of those games that go from A to B, kill anything on the way, then do that on every single level.
Also i thought he was a super soldier??...you have energy that gets used way too quite when you use your powers and when your energy bar runs out you cant even run to get to cover so you just get shot to bits, this was annoying after it happened countless time so I sent the game back before I even completed it.- Was this review helpful to you?

RENT THIS TITLE
By toastedsoldier (24 reviews) from Lincoln , 16 Apr 2012You have to play this, you have to, one of the best games i played in 2011, Its got an amazing soundtrack that works so well with the game, the story is great kind of follows on from the original crysis game, worth playing also, download from the xbl marketplace for £15.00 and follows the story of alcatraz, who is given the suit from prophet, who was in the first game. Fantastic game, i bought it on release and kept it untill i had finished the campaign on all difficulties, its that good. MP is a bit laggy at times but dosent bother me tbh, didnt play it as much as the campaign, took me roughly 12 hours the first time i played it so its worth playing, if youve played the COD games on veteran start on veteran on crysis, its challenging but a better challenge than than normal or easy.- Was this review helpful to you?

Better than i expected
