Better than darksiders 1
By a customer , 21 Aug 2012[Highly rated reviewer]
I enjoyed playing this game as its more similar to dmc in terms in gameplay but has much more free roam while having weapon system to get more fun from the game even the story kept me interested overall its a good game especially the boss battles and its more developed than it predecessor so I recommend it- Was this review helpful to you?

(15)Jack of all trades but master of none.
By vinny07 (8 reviews) , 20 May 2013I found the first title a little boring at first but then got better and better and ended up really enjoying it so i had high hopes for this title. Again it starts of slowly, if a little boring but slowly picks up pace. Unfortunatly i didnt pick up enough and i found myself grinding through the entire game just to complete it for the sake of it. OTher reviews lead you to believ its free roam, thats a bit far stretched. Its still linear. Graphics are ok, puzzles are suitably tricky at parts, but not difficult. The boss battles are no where near challenging enough. The story line started off well but slowly became lack lustre culminating in a disappointing ending. The unlockable perks dont add much to the gameplay either which is a shame, i forgot about them most of the time as the hack and slash is enjoyable on its own. IMO you dont get use the Reaper form anywhere near enough. And it takes a long time to recharge. Overall its a competent game, a mixture of different genres. You could say a jack of all trades but master of none.- Was this review helpful to you?

It's good, but I'm a bit bored of it now.
By Saityn (4 reviews) from Kent, England , 30 Apr 2013This game is good, how ever I feel that you are kept in the same worlds for too long, and it becomes boring after a while, the weapons and puzzles are pretty cool, I've not spent too much time with the combo's simply coz I cant be bothered. I just want to finish the game now so I can send it back. Definitely not as memorable as the first Darksiders- Was this review helpful to you?

give me darksiders any day.
By APuppetMaster (2 reviews) from ramsgate , 21 Apr 2013If you liked the first game i think youll be disappointed with this, the makers of this one have made a huge game but it lacks the pizazz and guality and you just wander round way to much. Gets boring guickly.- Was this review helpful to you?

Inventive, but lacking finesse
By Duga (1 review) , 18 Mar 2013I must admit this gam was much better than I was expecting. It's extraordinarily imaginative, absolutely huge (not just in the main missions, but just in scope for exploration). The combat is lacking though. The reason for this is that it throws enemies at you, many at once swarming over the screen. While this has been well done in recent games like the Batman series, which made good use of evasions, blocking and counters, Darksiders relies in evading rolls, which combined with the tight camera angle means that most of the time you are being attacked from off screen. The result is that combat lacks finesse, instead a combination of luck and fumbled health potions. Apart from this, a great game. The above is just a real shame for a game that relies so heavily on combat.- Was this review helpful to you?
