A nice opening cinematic tells the story of the war between Heaven and Earth and that the Charred Council act as the balance between the two. Using the 4 Horseman as their muscle to enforce a peace treaty until the 7 seals are broken.

This game is not just your typical hack-em-up and what most appealed to me was how much it felt like I was playing a hugely up to date Legacy of Kain (or Soul Reaver for those who only played the later follow ups).

Plenty of gore in the right amounts, awesome finishers and tons of upgrades available that you purchase from a Merchant Demon (who resembles a Lich from WoW :D)

All in all this is one you should definitely not miss... add it to your list now and simply enjoy!

Good game but dragged on a little too long for me. Great story and interesting. The game play was good. Some of the boss fights were a bit boring for me tho. Worth a play and Darksiders 2 looks Smart

I loved it. I really enjoyed the control layout. I played it through on Apocalyptic setting first time to give it extra bite. I think it needed it it could be a bit too easy on normal.

The story was excellent and basically the game played like god of war with alot of pick ups and equipment/new weapons to look forward to throughout the game. The person who related it to Zelda was correct in a way as like Zelda new equipment unlocked new areas.

It's alright, nothing special. It tries too hard to be God of War....except God of War is fun. It's also ridiculously hard!

  • Zelda + God of War = Darksiders

This has all the ingredients of an exceptional game:

*Take 1 sizeable dose of God Of War

    *Add a splash of Zelda

    *Next a pinch of Castlevania

*Mix it up in a large cauldron and voila! Darksiders!

A hack n' slash with RPG elements, interspersed with cinematic story sequencies. I haven't completed this game yet but I have invested a number of hours and will be either buying this or re-renting it at some point.

If you enjoyed any of the above games you will definitely love this one.

A good game, controls take a bit of getting used to though.

Graphics wise, the cutscences are good, but the game itself is worse. Just seems like ps2 graphics in HD.

Overall this game just needs a bit more time and extra work, the second one is being made now so hopefully that is better.
