I surrender
By William Brown from Edinburgh , 07 Jul 2009[Highly rated reviewer]
I'm just about ready to give up on the Wii. Here we have another game which should have been brilliant using the controls and you end up not having to use the Wii controls at all. You should have been swinging away with axes and baseball bats while racing through. Instead you are pressing buttons to get the weapons to move. (You can swing once but then you have to wait an age before you can do it again - hardly good interactive fun). And every time you go somewhere you have to walk for miles with absolutely zip happening. This should have been one of the games of the year. Instead its a complete waste of time. Almost bought it when it came out as the premise looks so good. Thank goodness I kept my money in my pocket. When are we going to get some decent playable games that use the Wii controls the way they should be used? If they can get it to work for exercise things and stupid wander-around-cartoon-wallophead-lands why can't they get a decent shooter or fighting game? Back to the Xbox for me.- Was this review helpful to you?

Could have been amazing!
By a customer from Brighton , 02 Feb 2011My husband and I got quite into it. It was quite fun killing all the zombies but quite limited in what you can do with the controls. Unfortunately you can't shoot and move at the same time... shame. We actually gave up on it in the end as we thought we had almost completed it and then we were hit with an irrelevant and unnecessary story line.- Was this review helpful to you?

Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop
By Jase684 (2 reviews) from England , 15 Apr 2010Thought i would give this a chance even after reading the reviews. The description sounds good, busting up zombies with random objects the reality is that from the start of the game it takes an absolute age before you start doing anything then even long to get some zombie action. Finally when the hordes of the undead are upon you it is cut scene after cut scene(which has no option to skip) and very little playability.
If you after a fun zombie shoot um up then i would recommend House of the Dead: Overkill over this one it has comical cut scene's (which can be skipped) and levels that are short enough to squeeze in while the other halfs getting ready but long enough to keep you entertained with some dark humour thrown in, oh yeah and its a multiplayer- Was this review helpful to you?
