Harrowing...

Well, Dead Space has delivered in almost every aspect for me. It's atmospheric, frightening, and intense combat-wise.
The game has you jumping at shadows and tense all the way through. As all inventory and objective info is handled through real time helograms, you're always prone to an attack while sifting through data. Considering how lethal the game can be, this shatters your nerves even further. I took a moments reprieve and ended up impaled in the chest, heaved in the air, and had all of my limbs sheared off.
The only weak point is story, which is decent (on par with the Ridley Scott's Alien) but an awkward mechanism with the silent protagonist.- Was this review helpful to you?

This game changed that though and I don't regret playing a single heart pounding second of it. I will definitely be renting the sequels in future and I would recommend this to any horror fan any day. 5/5, 10/10- Was this review helpful to you?

It is a decent length and the back story you learn through tape recordings is very well thought out. By a customer , 24 Jul 2012Not a very long game, took me around 9 - 10 hours to complete but i can honestly say one of the best survival horror games i've played, the story line is great. when i first played it I was crapping myself around every corner, but as time goes on the game becomes less scary as you can plow down enemies like butter. 5/5 great game.- Was this review helpful to you?
