It's about time
By jayden (1 review) from London , 21 Apr 2010[Highly rated reviewer]
This game has been out for over a year in Asia and now we europeans can get to play it. Notoriously difficult, this action RPG has won many awards and for good reason. You will die many times in this game and each death will punish you more and more each time, due to the enemies getting stronger after each death. This game also features one of the most unique online modes to date, real life players can leave messages to other players warning about the dangers ahead, players can also invade your game and kill you at anytime without warning which really adds to the tension considering the lack of checkpoints each death can really cost you a lot of time, but this game is all about learning from your mistakes. This game is a 100% must have for anyone who has not imported this gem already.- Was this review helpful to you?

Relentless. Unforgiving. Truly awsome!
By SpaceMonkees (1 review) , 21 Nov 2012This game is unforgiving but so amazing! If you like RPGs. then please rent this game and give it a try. You need to be prepared to die, a lot, but the risk/reward is so satisfying. it isnt for everyone and it certainly isnt for rage quitters. The only time you die is when YOU make the mistake. loose concentration for a second, you will die. Go to make a cup of tea in the middle of battle, you will die! there is no pause button but a truly outstanding game!
If you rent it and enjoy it, send it back and go buy it as its a huge game that will take you 100+ hours to get through -there is no point in renting it for the entirety of the the game.- Was this review helpful to you?

Very disappointing.
By CrunkCronic (10 reviews) , 13 Apr 2012Thought that this game would actually have some substance to it, not just a boring game where you die a lot.
You start out in the tutorial area, with a crappy cutscene before to set the scene, work your way through easy enemies then you get to a boss, he'll one shot you i. e. send you to some nexus thing where you are your spirit.
Then you go through levels one at a time, killing progressively harder enemies, eating healing herbs by the dozen eventually with a boss at the end, you kill, and then a bit more of the story is given to you. When you die in a level, you're transported to the beginning, everything respawns, and you basically start the level again from scratch but with the same items you have.
Played this for about 4 hours, debating whether or not to go back to it again.
Yawn.- Was this review helpful to you?
