Incredible Game
By a customer , 27 Aug 2011[Highly rated reviewer]
Brilliant game play, although like most open map games there are a few glitches where enemies get stuck in buildings that you cant either get in or shoot, which when you need to kill them for a side quest can be annoying. However this is just a small problem as you just reboot a save and hopefully they should spawn in the right place next time. Also future updates should remove this :)
As for the combat if you treat it like a normal shoot em up game ie call of duty etc, it performs exactly like other shooters. For the best experience try to find other routes and go for close quarter comabt, there is nothing more satisfying than nailing multiple people at once.
A must play game!- Was this review helpful to you?

The Best
By Stoooo82 (2 reviews) , 29 Jan 2013Best Game i've played in years. Amazing game, Took about 50 hours to play through which i consider a pretty good length of game, considering i didn't play any online games. Hoping they do a HD port of the original for the consoles, really eager to play through that.- Was this review helpful to you?

Started off well.
By Maatttttt (18 reviews) from South, UK , 30 Dec 2012The game started out with great potential, then after a few hours of playing it gets very repetitive, doing the same thing, over, and over, and over, and over. A real shame.- Was this review helpful to you?

Superb game, I can't wait for the next one!
By joe-c (1 review) , 29 Dec 2012First of all, in response to DL86's review, the controls are only messed up if you only play one or two shooting games, if you play a variety of shooting games you will know the controls are different in all of them. It felt a little weird at first using the controls on Deus Ex but after about half an hour I got used to them and it became very easy, in some ways easier (such as the 'cover' control). I'm guessing DL86 plays CoD online too much and expects every other game to have their controller layout. Play some more games before you make comments like that. Now for my review, Deus Ex is probably one of the best games I've ever played, it has a Metal Gear Solid feel to it. It starts a bit slow but once it gets going, it really gets going, and when you think you are finished, there is something better waiting ahead! The storyline is excellent and it keeps you wanting to know more after each cutscene. The boss fights are all very different and require different techniques to defeat them. The sidequests are great to collect points and get to know some of the other characters in the game. The length of the game is just perfect (took me 30+ hours to complete - this is doing all side missions and wandering the streets too - it would take about 15 hours to complete the game doing just the main missions). The main characters personality can change depending on what you want him to say to other people. And my favourite part of the game is the news reporter Eliza Cassan, she was the icing on the cake for me, especially at the end. I can't praise this game enough, definitely rent it or buy it, I'm sure you will feel the same way as I do.... if you complete it.- Was this review helpful to you?
