DiRT Showdown will deliver a new world of competitive and combative racing as players boost, trick and smash their way to Showdown finals on a chaotic tour of motorised mayhem. There are three broad categories to DiRT Showdowns thrilling action-sports racing. Players will use nitrous to blast past rivals and negotiate courses filled with ramps, pinch points and obstacles in full-contact Racing events. Gamings most advanced damage engine is unleashed in Demolition Derby themed events where players smash and crash their way to victory in bone-jarring style. Finally, in Hoonigan events, gamers will send fans wild in huge stunt parks where accessible new controls offer every player the chance to become a freestyle driving hero. From San Francisco to Miami and London to Tokyo, players will dominate their rivals and wow the crowds on their way to becoming a driving superstar. Pyrotechnics, lasers and thousands of fans give each venue a vibrant sports entertainment atmosphere, with the player taking centre stage. Over 50 different events across four championships will challenge gamers in a variety of conditions sun, snow and rain through the day and under the floodlights at night. DiRT Showdown will feature an exciting new line up of off-road machines. Ken Blocks all new Gymkhana FOUR H.F.H.V. Ford Fiesta debuts alongside an eclectic mix of vehicles across a range of classes. From saloons and muscle cars to pick-up-trucks, hearses and vans, players have a wide selection of custom cars to trick, race and destroy. DiRT Showdown will be Codemasters most connected game ever split-screen multiplayer, eight-player online racing, on and off-line quick-fire party games and YouTube integration all come as standard. Players will also be able to issue Showdown Challenges to compete with friends whether they are online or not.

Racing fans avoid!!!

Oh My God! I like the Dirt series but this is awful. How they can justify giving it a full release and price tag is beyond me. In todays racing genre this is a joke. I expected arcade type driving but this allows you to get away with anything. The brakes are a pointless waste of a button. You can get around almost any corner in the game just by lifting of the accelerator. The varied vehicle type has no relevance as they all do roughly the same speed and cornering and the rally/rallycross cars are barely used except for gymkhana races, which are so easy to be pointless. Hang your heads in shame, Codemasters! Next time release it on Wii with a 3-5 age rating.

Was really good fun to play, more childish than realistic so not for seriously competitive players recommend people to rent

good as DLC

If this would have been added as dlc then would have been great but given the tour mode was completed with a total drive time of 5 hours makes it a bit disappointing as a stand alone title.

Close to destruction derby, but not quite descruction derby

I dont think any game can re-create the brilliance of the good old destruction derby games, but this has gotten closer than any other game of this genre. The game play is ok, winning races is as easy as 1,2,3. The crashes and smashes are really good, and theres no better feeling than wiping out a hearse (sounds sadistic). You can't play online without buying a code so I can't vouch for multli-player. But single player is a good enough reason to have this game, the tricks you have to do on one of the single player options is immense, makes you feel like a top driver, especially drifting under 2 stationary lorrys side by side in the smallest of gaps (epic!) Overall, even to have this game for a week it would be worth it, just for a change in games.

was expecting some rallying dirty bendy roads this is like destruction darby not for me very poor i reacon definately wouldnt buy this game dirt 1 and 2 are far better

All it is to me is demolition with nitrous ! I really wanted this game for the demolition as I love playing demolition derby on Grid & like I say it's demolition with nitrous it really didn't get my vote !! I'll stick to grid !
