Time Vortex - Definitely Not Ahead Of Its Time...
By Bluspykz (1 review) , 14 Jun 2012[Highly rated reviewer]
With more cons than pros, this games success hinged on satisfying not only gamers, but fans of the show. I think it failed on both accounts.
With too few monsters, not enough time zones to explore (and zero freedom to roam around), coupled with the frustrating glitches, appalling AI and useless partner in River Song, this game goes on the list of 'Great potential, poor execution...'
Its definitely a weekend rent game however. The voice acting (when it works) is great, the game CAN be fun. And the side-scrolling element is not a big a hindrance as some would have you believe.

(7)Time Lord! Geronimo!
By Harris1987 (18 reviews) , 29 Apr 2013This game isn't that bad, a platform game with fun puzzles though a little tricky on some occasions. The worst thing about it is the unintelligent A.I. But E.C. has a tidy enough storyline to keep you going till the end (Of Time! LoL).- Was this review helpful to you?

hated it
By magicmatt (72 reviews) , 27 Jan 2013poor side scroller, hardly tests the limits of the ps3 more like a commodore 64 game (for those that remember), the puzzles are what do i push to get that lift down so i can press that button to get to this, boring, played for 20 mins and sent it back to L. F. didn't really get into it, die hard Dr Who fans will probably find it a chore as well.- Was this review helpful to you?

give them a bit more time in development so that they feel properly finished upon release.
By Skaplay3 (2 reviews) , 23 Jul 2012the game is heavily laden with glitches and bugs, most notably River Songs A. I., which often stuck her on a ladder or in a doorway, regularly forcing me to restart an entire level to progress.
The difficulty scaling of puzzles is also poorly executed. The switch to Hard simply reduces the time you have to complete a puzzle, which often results in a more frustrating than challenging experience. There are also a lot of puzzles that would be better described as mini-games, such as moving a ball through a grid while dodging oncoming orbs, requiring more dexterity than puzzle solving ability.- Was this review helpful to you?

Give it a chance! Its not all bad!
By DaleDude (5 reviews) from Derby , 20 Jul 2012I think that if you have seen the trailer and some game play then you should know what you are expecting. Not the best of graphics and not the best of game play!
BUT!
If you like Doctor Who and you like to give games a chance then this is a game to try! I found myself enjoying the story more than I thought I would because they included a fair few different enemies you go up against and also you visit different areas of time, it was just like watching a few episodes!
Its not always about the graphics and if the game has a few bugs, yes they are downers but its also about if you are a fan of something and enjoy them for the story! Rent this if you are a fan and it might just surprise you!- Was this review helpful to you?
