Having been a fan of the Final Fantasy series for years, I was bought this as a present recently. I have to say, it's really very good! The story is (so far) brilliant and the characters are engaging. The battle system is very similar to the earlier FF games and so I was in love very quickly (having been disappointed by the move away from turn-based battles..)!

My only problem with this game is that for some reason I can't work out, the characters talk in accents/dialects (I currently have one Scottish and one Russian...I think..) which is occasionally very irritating. This would be fine if you were listening but reading the passages is at times muddled because of words or phrases which make no sense unless you're familiar with Scottish phraseology...which I'm not...Move past that and this game's FAB! :-)

Perhaps this just isn't my type of game but I found it tedious and gave up very quickly. Perhaps it would be better on a different platform, but on the ds it was far from enjoyable. I will go back to the Professor Layton games.

i really enjoyed this game until the very end when you have to defeat this giant boss i must have gone through 6 stages before i totally ran out of magic, which is quite stupid really as he is only affected by magic, here are the stages of the last boss, is first form is very similar to a prior boss but i wont say anything about that, is second form is one arm is third form is no arms is forth form is just is torso which becomes a head fifth if you managed to last this long one of his arm regrows sixth is other arm regrows and that all i got up to i did see is seventh form but just was to weak to attempt it but involves him going back to all is first dorm with two heads, so in summing up this is a good game all round but the boss level could be cut down a lot .
