Very good rpg here. The simplistic nature means that anybody could pick it up and play it without any problems. The best part of the game is the online multiplayer of up to 4 players which just makes the game that much more enjoyable.

I highly recommend this game to everyone, especially fans of games such as fable. There isn't much character customisation apart from class but this is made up for by the importance of upgrading attributes to use weapons and armour that suit your own style of play.

  • Diablo on the go

This is game that is similar to Diablo, Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance and Champions of Norrath. If you like those games you will like this one for sure, although it is less complex and shorter and more on the go friendly. However there are some issues: It slows down when there are a lot of enemies, it takes quite a while to load when moving from area to area and it is very linear. Overall it is a good rental but probably only for those who already like dungeon crawlers. It is also one that is controller based since a long while.

I'm a fan of RPGs and have been playing hack n slash titles for a long time but Dungeon Hunter: Alliance is far from the best out there.

The controls are well thought out and the game looks good however there is alot of slow-down when more than a few monsters are on screen or the mage (which I played as) is using anything more than the basic spells. I enjoyed the multiplayer but the locked camera became annoying. The font used in the menus is tiny and I found it very hard to see item stats.

The thing that really bothers me however is that this is an IOS title ported to the PS vita and ubisoft has the nerve to sell it at £40 when the IOS version is around £1. 99.

If you're looking for a handheld RPG and don't like Disgaea then yeah rent this or if you find it for under £10 buy it but there are far better titles for the Vita. If you want a good hack n slash go play torchlight on the PC or XBLA.

  • Tedious dungeon crawler.

Dungeon Hunter: Alliance is a generic hack'n'slash, which is incredibly tedious to play. It is a sequel to an iPhone game, and if this were an iPhone game I may say it is reasonable, but as a Vita game, this game is just not up to par. The graphics are terrible, the game jutters all over the place, attacks are difficult to connect and slow, the load times are horrendous, and while the multiplayer is reasonable, I suffered from frequent disconnects.

This game is insufferable. There is no voice acting whatsoever, the story is incoherent, tacked on and boring, there is only a choice of 3 'characters' or really just playstyles, very little character customisation beyond equipment, and the music starts to grate on the nerves with this epic feel it was going for, which really just leaves gameplay to redeem it and to be honest, I wasn't thrilled. However, this is the only dungeon crawler on the Vita right now, so if you like dungeon crawlers, give it a shot, just don't expect too much.
