Another E.A Rip off
By a customer from Essex , 04 Oct 2010[Highly rated reviewer]
*Please note if you want to play online*... You have to pay 800 microsoft points to play this game online if you rent it. COMPLETE RIP OFF FROM MONEY GRABBING EA AGAIN.
As for the game, don't expect too much guys. Its basically world cup 2010 and fifa 10 in one and thats why this game gets 2 stars from me. Alright, I don't expect a massive revolution in football games but come on EA! give us something worth spending our money on. My advice would be to buy fifa 2007 from gamestation for £3 and save yourself £37 on pretty much exactly the same game. Anyone who buys this game is a complete mug, actually i feel ripped off and i only rented it.- Was this review helpful to you?

A very disappointing game. I was really looking forward to this game after all the hype but now I have it, I am very disappointed.
First, I'll touch on the good points (should'nt take long). Obviously, all the licences are in place player and club wise. That goes without saying when it comes to the FIFA games. You can play as any of the modern teams or players which does make it more like playing real football. The ability to download the latest teams is also a very good tool.
An addition this year is the ability to store all your details on the 'FIFA Hospitality' feature, which will allow you to carry over all your settings and styles to other FIFA games.
The ability to play as a goal keeper is great fun and creates a better all round experience. The online 11 vs 11 is a fab idea in principle but to be honest, after spending 4 or 5 games with other muppets just running round trying to be a striker despite the fact that they were supposed to be a fullback, I got bored and gave it up as a bad job.
Now the bad points.....
The first has got to be the lack of stadium choice. A very poor decision to not at least have the stadium names (even if they couldnt be bothered trying to build the designs into the game). This really damaged the authenticity of the game.
The game play is poor to say the least. It appears to have taken a step backwards from FIFA 2010. You feel like you are running through treacle all the time. The plays is slow, deliberate, and more than a little frustrating. I had heard that it had been made harder to score etc etc, but all the old things are still there. Scoring is easy, making the same moves always gets you what you want etc etc etc.
The 'Be a Pro' mode is extremely badly done. The AI of other players on your team is laughable. Players will play slow, sluggish passes to you that are just picked up by the opposition. You can make a forward run and ask for through ball, only for your team mate to hold onto the ball for about 30 seconds too long and then pass to you when you are offside. Your players will even kick the ball against each other and on more than one occasion, I have been tackled by my own players.
The manager mode is equally as badly done. The transfer market and dealings are just rubbish and things like getting emails from your assistant coach telling you that a 19 year old player needs resting 4 games into the season is just ridiculous.
All in all, a very poor, disappointing let down.
Not worth wasting your money on....- Was this review helpful to you?

almost there
By Stiffy (22 reviews) from Blyth , 30 Aug 2011always had a passion for fifas, the thing i would love most is if they put international teams in career mode to which you could manage, then it would be 5 stars for me! and maybe make the career mode a bit more interesting cause after 3-4 seasons it tends to become pretty boring- Was this review helpful to you?

Fifa 11- 4.5 stars!
By shawntayys (1 review) from London , 14 Aug 2011The best Football Simulator on the market. This Football leading franchise delivers a precise and accurate gaming engine which will fire up the gaming experience for any football maniac. Definitely a game worth purchasing and I will be looking forward for the sequel to the franchise: Fifa 12.
Pro's:
-Excellent Gaming Engine,
-Very Realistic,
-Nearly all licensed professional clubs, players, boots, kits etc.
-Excellent Online and Offline capability.
-11 vs 11 online.
-Engaging 'PRO CLUBS' Online mode, where you as one player plays for a team Online along with other players.
Cons:
-Game can sometimes be buggy and can lead to 'Game-rage' for the impatient one.
-Some Players are 'over-skilled', which causes even the most unskilled players to remain dominent on the pitch.
-For Virtual Pro mode, it is sometimes difficult to get into a gaming lobby.
All in all, its an excellent game- Was this review helpful to you?

Fifa 11 good or bad?
By headsets9 (1 review) , 24 Jun 2011This game is a good game to buy if it's the first time you have ever decided to buy a football game. Compared to other games such as,pro evolution soccer 2011 and many others this is probably the most easy to handle with the controls and the best game to start with.
There are new features such as you can play as the goal keeper and you can be the manager of the team of your choice, and you can be a player and the manager at the same time!
So far there are no mistakes with the game and for me it has always worked fine.
I gave this game a four and a half out of five beacuse the online isn't that great but every thing else in this game is great!- Was this review helpful to you?
