Good but you need to buy code to play online

Really pleased I got this game on the day of release, especially as I had that particular week off work! I guess I was just lucky though, I had FIFA 12 on my rental list for the several months and never did receive it! (admittedly I didn't put it as high priority so I can't really complain about that).
Consequently I haven't yet played FIFA 12, but this game is definitely better than FIFA 11 in terms of graphics and gameplay. BE WARNED though, if you want to play it online you'll need to purchase an unlock code from the playstation store. You'd get one included with the disc if you bought a new copy, but if you rent it they don't provide one for obvious reasons. (I didn't get one even though I was the first rentee of the copy I received)
You can however still access some of the online features without a code, such as downloading the latest squads and buying and selling players in the auction house on ultimate team, the code only prevents you from playing matches against others online.
I also experienced a bit of a bug in ultimate team where it froze when my manager's contract expired and I couldn't proceed with my team even after switching off and reloading. I tried deleting my team and starting again and the same thing happened at the same point. I then tried once more but this time I 'quick sold' the manager I was given to start off with before his contract expired and bought a new one from the aution house, it was fine after that.- Was this review helpful to you?
