Fable, the very name in the gaming world demands a certain level of greatness. Does the 3rd installment live up to it's predecessors? Well, yes....ish.
Let me explain, first off there is no inventory in the game. The only way you can find out what you have with regard to gems, furniture, gifts etc is to go to a pawnbroker, this means that if you miss what you dug up or got from a chest then you better remember what you already had. The biggest flaw is easily the expression system. In Fable 2 you went into a town, do whatever expression you liked and anyone around you responded. Here you have to interact with 1 person and then you get 2 choice, 1 good and 1 evil (until later when it let's you have an extra choice). This gets very dull very quickly, repeatedly dancing with someone and then doind pat-a-cake is, well dull. If you manage to get your reationship high enough then you'll get a friend quest, this is either dig something up or deliver something to someone else, that's is. Once you've done this a few times you won't want to do it again. Don't get me wrong though the game is fantastic in other areas, the battle system is the same except you actually want to use all 3 methods of attacking rather than just flourishing with your melee weapon, granted this is because almost every flourish triggers a slo mo where you can't really do anything but it's a minor annoyance. Really though there are many good reasons to rent and even own this game. The story is great (except for the end boss, what exactly was it?) the choices are inspired, the feel is just right and the voice actors are fantastic (Stephen Fry is amazing)
Anyway Fable 3 is a great game but feels slightly rushed and the only problems it has are always at the front of your mind but that doesn't detract from the fact this is a pleasure to play with ample replay value. Well what did you expect, it's Fable.- Was this review helpful to you?

Fable! :D
By a customer , 21 Oct 2012I LOVED this game. I thought it was entertaining and I loved the story line and side quests that you could do.
However, I found this game extremely glitchy! I would accept a quest and select a way point to it. But it would send me to completely the wrong area or place and wouldn't acknowledge the quest that I wanted to do. I found the way point glitchy, I would follow it and then it would tell me to go back to were I had come from and then go back to pointing the way it was sending me in the first place.
Overall I did enjoy this game and I would play it again but not being able to do some quests did annoy me quite a bit.- Was this review helpful to you?

way to easy
By a customer , 30 Sep 2012I would recommend it but it needs a better interface when it comes to dying/being defeated, you just lose some stuff and continue were you left of this makes it way to easy to complete, if you had to restart at a checkpoint or your last save like you do on most games it would make it a decent challenge- Was this review helpful to you?
