A little disappointing

I will have to be honest and start by saying that what there is of this game, is pretty good. However, the problem is that there isn't as much to this game as I would have liked. Once you've skiied down the very short courses and completed a few slaloms... well, that's it. The controls do work well (without Wii Fit Balance Board), but not so well that you'll want to replay the same short course over and over again. Final point to HDTV owners - this game does not support 480p, it's native resolution is 576i... booo! Worth a go, but don't get as excited as I did (only to be let down!)- Was this review helpful to you?

pleasantly surprised, think we will buy it!
By emgracelife (3 reviews) from Winsford , 28 Jul 2009I didn't expect much but after renting it I think I'll buy it soon. My 9-yr old son loves it too. The controls are easy and there seems to be lots to explore and there are lots of little challenges scattered around too.
we've been using it with the balance board, the only downside seems to be the motion of raising the nunchuk + remote up and down to accelerate - the connecting wire keeps slapping my thighs and hurts after a few slopes! maybe I'm trying too hard!
I like the way you can ski during the day or night-time - there's a good atmosphere, and it's made us want to try skiing in real-life!- Was this review helpful to you?

Not for me

Maybe my balance is just no good. On a plus point great game for kids.

Wii skii
By a customer from london , 31 May 2009This game is great! Really addictive and if ou have ever skiied before you will understand some thing better, if you haven't its still a great into to skiing and works well with or without the balance board.
I enjoyed playing this against my partner and on my own to always try and beat my personal best rating for that particular slope.
Before i sent it back i ending up buying the sequel ski and snowboarding, which is also great but i kinda like this game more because it gives you a rating for each of the different slopes you have been on. WHY they did not include this feature in the new one is really silly i feel.
