HEY ROCKYY
By rawraw (12 reviews) from Wakefield , 21 May 2011[Highly rated reviewer]
Im very picky when it comes to sports games, especially thos from EA. But this game is very underated. its the first time ive seen a story in a sports game, especially one written so well. the diologue is great and very rocky like. Its also fits well into the gameplay, for example you break your right hand in a fight so your corner asks you what are you going to do. he replies, 'use my left hand.' You might say its cheese, but its partrayed well into the gameplay.
The graphics both in the cutsceans and gameplay are good and theres everything there that you would expect from a fight night game. Multiplayer, a legacy moad where you can create your own boxer and train and fight them. Theres also a share option where you can download other peoples boxers which if at least is amusing to see peoples adaptations of rocky balboa, appollo creed or even chuck norris.
well worth a rent!- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer , 08 Nov 2012Good game, up to date boxers and really good graphics. I had fight night 3 and this is much better. The only down side is the rubbish storyline which is a bit predictable, however doesn't spoil the mechanics of the game- Was this review helpful to you?

the champion mode did impress me at first. but as it got on the scripting became more obvious and frustrating. online mode isnt much better with latancy issues clouding what could be the games redeeming feature.- Was this review helpful to you?

Float like a feather, sting like a freight train
By IW1911 (13 reviews) from UK , 22 Jun 2012Graphically, this game is the most impressive I've seen in the Fight Night series. The storyline is a cut and paste clicheathon of most boxing films you'll have seen before. Made to look as if you're watching a real match on ESPN etc I found this to preferable to over the top displays with health meters flashing and what not. With the ability to play using both button combos or movements on the right thumbstick (like Skate but with punches) you will easily find a way to settle in. When you land a haymaker, the game goes into slo-mo and you really see how hard you slammed them. The area of the hit ripples realistically and you see the full extent of the impact. I have to say though, the difficulty spike in story mode can be rather unforgiving but as this is almost at the level of a boxing simulator this is expected. You really have to knit together weaves, jabs, hooks and blocks to even get a chance of winning . I would recommend giving this a rent, boxing fan or not. But those of you more well versed in the sport will get a better handle of things when the opponents really start to fight back- Was this review helpful to you?

Great for Legacy Mode but that's about it.
By SuperScouse07 (16 reviews) from Liverpool , 07 Apr 2012After loving Fight Night Round 3, I decided to give this a rent. I started off first with Champion Mode and It wasn't half bad. The story was alright but really short. However, the 'final fight' was a complete let down. Due to it being scripted, I was unable to fight the way that I wanted and had to rely on the objectives that EA had given me to much annoyance. Legacy Mode was the best of all though and I had much enjoyment for 8 hours or so creating my boxer and working my way up to eventually becoming champion. Finally, the online was poor. This seems to be a recurring trend in EA games and the option to purchase an 'Online Pass' was given to me once again, but fortunately unlike other titles, I was given a weeks free trial to test it out. I'd recommend this game for Legacy Mode only and a weekend should be enough to satisfy you before you're bored.- Was this review helpful to you?
