The new title in the epic final fantasy series looks like it will finally return to the roots of the classic FF7 and FF8 games. Shedding the awkward battle system used in the last game it keeps what was so captivating about the older games, and is set to fuse this with new outstanding visuals. The lead is based on cloud from FF7, a quiet blonde haired female fighter. but with such a direct link to my personal greatest game ever things are looking good for the new chapter in the Final Fantasy series. Hope it lives up to the hype and the expectations of loyal fans.

Ive been a big fan of the FF series since I first played FF7 many moons ago. And although sone of the previous outings have been..well lets be honest. Terrible!! Ipicked this up again after playing some of it months ago and with the new FF 13-2 on its way I thought id better finish the story off in time for the new one but since starting a new game I can honestly say that Ive really enjoyed this one!

Sure the battle system could make you think more in stead of just bashing the Auto button but its a good story that takes you on all side of a journey and in good old FF fashion the cut scenes are amazing

A good, bordering on great game. Reminiscent of the better titles of the series (FF VII & VIII) paticularly the characterisation and the combat style/controls. I'm only a small way into the game, and it shows potential, but one massive drawback for me is the number and duration of the cut scenes. Way too frequent and way too long. Other than that, it is shaping up to be a really decent game.

Being a huge fan of the final fantasy series i was excited when this game was released however, the game lacks a storyline that you can understand and the gameplay is very easy as you can hit auto attack on everything and not really have much choice. I do like the graphics thought they where outstanding and the voice actors aswell.

This is such a stunningly beautiful game, with a truly absortive storyline that hooks the player. Best looking Playstation 3 game I have played to date.

Some of the cutscences are mind blowing, one in particular the best i have ever seen but I wont spoil it for anyone wishing to rent this game.

For all its stunning visuals and immersive story though FFXlll can be a long trudge of grinding after the story is completed if you are going to attempt getting the platinum trophy.

A word of warning for trophy hunters. This game took me 192 hours to get the platinum trophy and I had it on rental for 6 weeks to achieve it.

If your not interested in trophies though this game is well worth renting. The 13 chapters the story entails are all well worth the 20-30 hrs of gameplay it will take to complete.

Most boring game I've played since yakuza 3

Graphics are superb but basically you go trough an endless corridor, you enter a fight press X 50times, continue on the corridor and do the same for at least the first hour that I tried. Is this a rpg? If you love rpg's go for Fable or Oblivion, even the Blue dragon on the xbox was 10 times better and I'm sure there are a lot more out there. Just my take on it, I know a game is bad when I wouldn't want it even for free.
