Breathtaking graphics
By MiniNinja (16 reviews) from Warrington , 23 Apr 2012Let me start by admitting that this wasn't the game for me ... BUT ... it's an amazing game!
The graphics are astounding. The opening video sequence is breathtaking and the animated characters look almost like human actors.
Chocobo makes an appearance, I won't say where so as not to spoil the surprise, however you won't have to wait too long to find his funny little home!
The bit of storyline that I played (about 90mins) was interesting, and battles seemed to be a hard or as easy as you wanted to make them. One of the characters in particular, the black guy, I found to be quite humourous.
No complaints, rent or buy and you're in for a treat.- Was this review helpful to you?

OK, but no FF7/8
By a customer , 29 Mar 2012I preferred the much less complicated battle system in this FF game compared to previous but the storyline was so hard to follow I was still confused by the end.
Overall a good game and nice cut scenes but no comparison to FF7/8 as far as storylines go. Recommended if you enjoyed the past games but found the battle system a bit overwhelming and to FF7/8 enthusiasts I doubt you will enjoy it.- Was this review helpful to you?

By PuppyKiller82 (7 reviews) , 13 Dec 2011If youre a FF fan then this is a superb game, It took me around 60 hours to complete evrything including all training etc.
If you're after a game that you can't finish in one sitting then this is your best bet.- Was this review helpful to you?

Absolute rubbish. This is not Final Fantasy!!
By BraesSpartan (1 review) , 14 Nov 2011Final Fantasy, One of the most impresive/succesfull RPG franchise in history. From the launch of FF7, Final Fantasy has been epic, great gameplay, storyline, graphics and characters. Massive open maps to explore, challenges to faceand plenty of tresure and weapons to discover. Great battle systems that require strategy. But some of this was lost in FF12, it seamed 'simplified' but still good.
However, FF13, the game that should not have been made stole 12 hours of my life and was not worth any second. Being just like an interactive movie, were you can hold up on the stick moving the character through the extreamly linear, boring areas of the game. The battle system was abbysmal, with 'Auto Battle'? WTF!?! It's an FF game not Final Dumb and Lazy. There is no unique setup for the characters, so they all end up more or less the same, with just differant weapons. The characters were boring and annoying, only one character was good, but you spend so much time jumping between 3 of them you end up dredding who you will be stuck with!
The only good thing about this titls is the graphics, as always, stunning! Maybe thats all the were going for after spending all their cash buying Eidos. Whats worse is the Sequall comming soon. Why, just Why!?!
If you are new to the series, dont play, get FF7 for the old playstation or pc, it will blow your mind. If you are a veteran, you should by now know, don't do it!- Was this review helpful to you?
