I was addicted to this when I first started playing, as I had played the plant tycoon game on Mac, and it is quite similar. You start with some basic breeds of fish and have to breed and cross breed until you find the 7 magic species (out of about 750 possible species).
It was really cool to see what breeds you could come up with, however, after a few days playing I started to notice that there are just too many bad points to the game. For example, the fish just spend too long being pregnant even when playing on double speed, so if you're simply waiting on the babies, you have to literally wait about 45 mins real time! And there's nothing else you can do to kill the time on that game.
Also the buttons are really tiny and close together so I spent many a time cursing and shaking my DS because i kept clicking the wrong buttons!
And if, like me, you forget to pause time before you turn it off, the next time you turn it on, all your fish could be dead and you'd have to start over again.
Not recommended if you don't like waiting!- Was this review helpful to you?
