The hugely anticipated FIST OF THE NORTH STAR is a successor to the side-scrollers and beat ?em ups of old, but brought bang up to date with ground-breaking physics, combat, and gore inspired by the cult comic. An uncompromising vision of a ruined future, FIST OF THE NORTH STAR promises to be a no-holds-barred brawler to delight all fighting fans as well as giving FIST OF THE NORTH STAR enthusiasts the game they have been waiting for. In the game, a ravaged Earth struggles to survive after the nuclear holocaust has left the world in ruins. Pitiful survivors band together in communities and villages, trying to live on what little resources they have left. In the wastelands beyond vicious gangs prey on them for their resources, or sometimes just for fun. A mysterious martial artist named Kenshiro, a man with seven scars on his chest and the chosen successor of the legendary assassin's art Hokuto Shinken (The Divine Fist of the North Star) has sworn to protect the weak and innocent from the malicious gangs that roam the scorched planet. In the hugely interactive environments players can smash or pummel their enemies into different objects and buildings as well as pick up objects to maim and obliterate groups of malicious gangs. Face down dozens of enemies at once - string combos and attacks together to perform unstoppable killing moves. Power up, then unleash furious Hokuto Shinken special attacks. There are dozens of unlockable moves - blistering finishing attacks that can wipe out entire gangs in one blow, or cause single enemies to explode in a shower of gore. Players will also find hidden characters. Taken straight from the FIST OF THE NORTH STAR universe, players will be able to unlock unforgettable characters such as Mamiya and Rei, amongst others. FNS purists will be pleased to know that every scene and level has been faithfully followed the iconic visual style of the original comic series. As well as having their own stories faithfully reproduced from the source material, every character will have a new original story and ending specially made for this game, giving the fans something they could only dream of. Massive Battles: Face dozens of enemies at once - String combos and attacks to perform unstoppable killing moves. Devastating Arsenal: Execute blistering finishing attacks that can wipe out entire gangs in one blow, or cause single enemies to explode in a shower of gore with dozens of unlockable moves and signature attacks. Secret Characters: Taken straight from the FIST OF THE NORTH STAR universe, players will be able to unlock unforgettable characters such as Mamiya and Rei, amongst others. Faithful Adaptation: Every scene, character and environment has been faithfully recreated based on the iconic visual style of the original comic series. Original Storylines: As well as having their own stories faithfully reproduced from the source material, every character will have a new original story and ending specially crafted, giving longtime fans something truly unique to experience.

No nonsense carnage!

absolutely loving this game atm! as a huge fan of the original manga i have to say i was a little worried about this one, but after playing for a while its all good! the game is true to the anime with original characters appearing all over the shop, fluid controls, nice graphics, brutal special moves and rivers of claret! the game plays out much like the old streets of rage games obviously with a bit more depth and variety, and as its developed by the creators of the dynasty warriors series expect hordes of enemies on screen all baying for ya blood. there are 3 characters to choose from, a few days of heavy gaming and im still doing the first! if you like the film and fancy a bit of swedgetastic action then this is for you.

A disappointing gameplay but good story.

good game to play but gets really tedious and repetitive and eventually boring when playing over if your a trophy hunter. also the gameplay could have been alot quicker, its like playing in slow motion through the whole game.

Fun for a while

Kind of fun for a bit but does get incredibly repetitive. Is a very easy game to platinum though if you're into your trophies.

Would you like a taste of my Nanto Suichoken?

I LOVE this game. But then i am a huge fan of Fist of the North Star. This game follows the story perfectly.

It is basically Dynasty Warriors style gameplay but when you start to level up the characters and unlock the best moves it becomes a pleasure shouting HAATAA at the screen while using your hundred crack fists to obliterate your enemies.

I can't help shouting 'You are already dead' when Mr 'Big Huge Commander Guy' appears and my Hokuto Shinken takes him out in one move. Laughing as i watch his minions cower in fear.

And who wouldn't enjoy asking a load of mutant thugs 'Would you like a taste of my Nanto Sui Choken'? Yeah taste that boys as your head slides off your shoulders.

This game i get into for a while, then give it a rest, then go back whenever i need another fix. There's a lot of gameplay in it. A MUST for fans of the manga/anime. Majority of the rest will probably see it as pointless.

Well what can i say ? Wasn't a very big fan of this game , tried giving it the benefit of a doubt but found it dull and lusterless. All enemies that you fight are the same whatever level you are on. In my opinion its lucky to get one star.
