Brilliant

Who'd have thought they could cram GTA into a DS cartridge. I was amazed at how much detail they have packed into this game. Obviously the graphics are not going to be great but I think they push the DS to it's limit. The Radio obviously has not got the real music but the tunes are different enough on the channels for there to be something for everyone. The first few missions ease you into the action as is the norm and before long you are up to the usual activities of pinching cars, killing people and avoiding the cops. The brilliant new option is the mini games you have to do using the touch screen. These are ingenious. If you like GTA then rent this game immediately.- Was this review helpful to you?

Back to the old
By Decadence (2 reviews) from Luton , 09 Apr 2009Well, what a great idea from Nintendo. They knew bringing a GTA do the DS wouldn't be able to be graphically as good as a GTA on the PSP so they make it like the original GTA 1, 2 & London. Which to me, is an awesome idea. Playing this reminds me of playing Grand Theft on my old PlayStation 1, only much improved. The view is way better - its closer and has a cool 3D look to it.
They've also made the best out of the touch screen and stylus in a way not many other DS games have. You need to use it for alot of little things - hot wiring cars, making mollitov cocktails, breaking windows, using your GPS, the list goes on. And you can do drug deals, which is a first in any GTA game I believe.
Overall, its a great new addition to the Grand Theft Auto series and you'll especially like it if you played the old ones.- Was this review helpful to you?
