Brilliant

Now Ive have every halo game ever and this one was my favorite out of all of them. This is because i love the fact that it is the original Halo Combat Evolved and basically the new one. They have made the graphics amazingly HD its so crisp. I love changing it back to the old graphics all the time as well to compare it and basically the ol graphics are just pure grey. Dosent make me change my mind about this being a truly epic game. I haven't played the multilayer yet but i will as soon as im done with the Legendary Campaign.- Was this review helpful to you?

couldn't wait to get back out there as the original master chief!

Amazing game...

Very disappointing
By JJBreview (2 reviews) , 25 Nov 2012As someone who has been a late comer to the Halo series, only buying an Xbox 360 soon before the release of Halo Reach in 2010, my expectations of these games is considerably high. Nevertheless, this is a recent revamp, and so I don't think it is unfair to presume this game would also be of a good standard.
Unfortunately in my view the game fails to deliver. The weapons you are provided with are very limited and you are lucky to find a well-ranged weapon in the game. This means that you can't really be as strategic your attacking as before, needing more close combat skills. The gameplay itself is very repetitive and it's only really the graphics they have improved - as evidenced by terrible AI and dull campaign objectives.
The original game flourished on its novelty at least - the remake provides nothing unless you have some degree of nostalgia.- Was this review helpful to you?
