Harvest Moon: Magical Melody is good. Thats about it! If you have played the game previously on the gamecube there are no surprises. Its basically the same game just re-branded and updated for the Wii. I loved the game on the gamecube and feel it hasn't carried over to the wii very well. The camera angles when you talk to other people in the village get very close to who you're talking to and this ruins some of the conversations. Plus I felt it took to long to do anything...ie get married buy cows etc etc...
If you're a fun of the harvest moon games then great...rent it but I wouldn't buy it!- Was this review helpful to you?

(2)Animal Crossing Clone?
By a customer from Redditch , 08 Dec 2008After playing with Harvest Moon with my 7 year old sister for some hours, we both found it incredibly boring to say the least.
The game play seems very slow and clunky, and in comparison to Animal Crossing that we also received at the same time, the graphics seem rather poor too - almost not as neat and tidy and Animal Crossing.
We both struggled to progress in the game as there seemed to be little advice about what we needed to do - I think thats probably the root cause of the boredom though to be honest, the gameplay needs to keep you entertained and moving (e.g. perhaps giving you more tips or ideas on what to do next) when things get slow - otherwise its far too easy to give up like we did!- Was this review helpful to you?
