Another great Harvest Moon title (just don't expect much from the 3D)

If you're already familiar with and enjoy the Harvest Moon series, this won't disappoint and is well worth a look.
Having said that, the 3D was a bit disappointing; although the dialogue screens look lovely superimposed over everything, the 3D rendering of the world seems a bit clumsy. It's very much a 2D game that's been pushed and stretched to accomodate the effect. But on the whole it's a minor issue.
If you're not familiar with the Harvest Moon series, this is a relaxed farming game with towns to explore & characters to interact with. These games excel at providing a long experience, to enjoy unhurried strategy play in a charming game world. Don't come expecting button-mashing mayhem, this is for chilling out after a hard day.
Plus it's worth noting that there is simply no comparison between the depth of these games and another certain farming sim on a certain social networking site.- Was this review helpful to you?
