while not as good as say.... the new Medal of Honour, this is still a good WW2 FPS.

with good graphics (the falling snow effect is the best I've ever seen) and for the most part, good game play.... I'd have gladly gave it an 8/10 if it were not for the fact that even on easy, the last level is stupidly hard. and a bug (a couple of times on one level) give a Velcro effect where you stick to the scenery with no apparent reason, although a waggle of the stick was usually enough to free my character (once I had to restart the level).

so, a game that is easily worth the rental money

This has to be the worst game I have ever played. Graphics look like the original xbox and game play is just plain disgraceful. Who ever designed and released this title needs to be hung, drawn and quartered. I would have been ashamed to have had my name in the credits. don't bother renting unless you are beyond desperate for something to play.

I started the game and immediately thought I had been transported back 3 or 4 years, game play was absolute rubbish allies etc just standing in your way for no apparent reason. Suffice to say it was back in its sleeve within 20 minuets

What an absolutely dire game. Horrendous graphics, jerky and lethargic character movement, poor sound effects. Stick to COD or MOH. Shame on the 38 people to date who have given this 5 stars!

Oh my Lord... This game is appallingly bad!

The graphics are poor, the gameplay is less than generic, the AI is non existent and the plot isn't there at all.

If Call of Duty is the royalty of video games and Medal of Honour is the poor cousin then Hour of Victory is the tramp that lives in shed at the bottom of your garden smoking fag butts off of the pavement and drinking meths from a paper bag...

You start each level by choosing one of 3 characters, you have a sniper, a (stealthy?!?) assassin and a commando. Each one has special skills apparently, but it basically amounts to which gun you start with and which way you go through the very linear levels... when I say which way you go through the levels I mean that you get the choice of smashing a hole in, climbing over or picking the lock of a door to get past the same wall.

The AI is pants. Enemies will charge at you to get a melee hit rather than shoot you, run round in circles, glitch through furniture twitching and jumping up and down in some kind of fit, shoot each other, blow themselves up and take cover in front of an object rather than behind it... and this only a handful of things they do... when they do start playing properly there bullets seem to be drawn to you like you are magnetised, they fly round corners, through walls etc.

There are a few tank levels which are also poorly executed, the tank regularly gets stuck on something invisible and will either turn on the spot or not at all...

I'm not sure how this game ends because I gave up on it and to be honest it takes a lot to make me put down a game before at least finishing it, but this tested my patience to the limit. Its not hard its just utter rubbish!
