    [Highly rated reviewer]

Game can be glitchy at times, it also has a fairly tight script and has some issues in general in to why people should go and do some of the massive puzzle areas to get an epic weapon (That will degrade in two fights) when they can just bypass. However, it is a fun game, te fighting is good, the co-op (and online co-op) is good. Not as good as games like demon souls are as good as future games are but as a stop gate its definatly worth renting. If you like good fight sequences and know its not open ended so don't get frustrated when you can't go off course then there is a lot to be enjoyed here. Main part of game is fairly easy except for last boss who is fairly frustrating on hard mode! This isn't really an arcade game but I loved the fight sequences, try and explore each area before you open a door as you can't go back and the puzzles that most people will bypass make this game all the better. I wouldn't buy this game but one of the better rentals.

  • Very, very, very, very, very, very, very... very repetitive...

First off, this whole game is very, very, very, very, very, very repetitive. What you do in the first 20 minutes of playing is what you will repeat to do for the rest of the game.

The graphics are bad by todays standards, little attention to detail.

I struggled to find myself a reason to keep playing and finish this extremely boring game, and when I finally did complete it I wish I had convinced myself otherwise.

The ending sucks (apparently it changes slightly based on certain things you do throughout the game) but I saw it coming from early on. I guess I kept playing to see how bad it got...

Combat was just you hit them, deal a bit of damage, they block. They attack, deal a bit of damage, you block.

Do that several times for each wave of enemies that come at you occassionaly and soon enough you can play this game without looking... I found myself getting nowhere at the speed of light.

I also found a lot of glitches in this game, Elara's bows not wanting to work at times (VERY annoying), random bits of scenery dissappearing, wierd voids inbetween objects.

I attribute some of this to the cheap and easy Unreal Engine 3 used, a very generic game engine, not too good for tailoring particular games needs, other than Unreal Tournament 3 and Gears of War for which it was designed for.

This game was designed for 2 players, many of the features requiring input from both characters, but good luck trying to find someone to play it with, as the AI isn't all that helpful.

After what seemed like an endless grind to finish, I must give this game a mere 2/5 bowlfuls of Sleg.

It is an enjoyable game, but the only problem is it is very repeatetive. Light this fire over here, push this wall down, shoot this guy and so on. The characters aren't too bad themselves, and do interact with one another well. Graphics are okay, but nothing to shout mum other to tell her how brilliant.

My only problem, and the reason I have given up playing, is that it is so long winded. I haven't as yet received the trophy for completing chapter 1 and I've been playing three hours. But I was getting tired with the repeatetive angle of the game, so that was starting to kill it for me anyway.

This isnt as bad as most people make it out to be as its something a bit different as going into a portable type device lets you swap characters. Its a good storyline and game isnt short or terribly long, but overall worth renting
