Developed by Saber Interactive, INVERSION takes players on a whirlwind journey complete with nonstop firefights, and a suspense-filled storyline. Packed to the brim with action, INVERSION also introduces revolutionary gravity-wielding combat, zero gravity environments, vector changes, and a unique destructible cover system. INVERSION is a third-person co-op shooter that combines hard-hitting, adrenaline-pumping action with a revolutionary gravity manipulation engine. Featuring the Grappler weapon, players will be able to manipulate gravity for their own purposes. The Grappler can be used in countless combat situations by maneuvering massive objects as shields or projectiles, and moving camped enemies out of concealed cover so they can be blasted away. The Grappler is also a key tool for tactical situations and puzzle solving as players can lift, move, or create cover objects at their whim. The awesome power of gravity is right at players fingertips. Additionally, INVERSION is one of the first games to feature the HAVOK destruction engine which bestows INVERSION with massively destructible environments including an elaborate cover system. Set in the near future, the tranquil peace enjoyed by mankind shatters with an unforeseen invasion by an unknown enemy called the Lutadore. Armed to the teeth with futuristic gravity-controlling weapons, the Lutadore easily overrun the citys defenses. Unbeknownst to all, mysterious anomalies have surfaced in conjunction with the invasion. Random regions in the city have entered zero gravity or have suffered vector changes, throwing the world into topsy-turvy chaos. Assuming the role of Davis Russel, a hotheaded 28-year-old cop, or Leo Delgado, Davis neighbor, players will embark on a journey through the war ravaged gravity twisted disorienting streets of their home town and beyond, to find Davis' missing child.

Poor Gears Imitation

I was a little unsure of this title due to the reviews I had read but a friend recommended it to me so I gave it a try. Quite frankly I wished I hadn't bothered.

The story was quite generic and the characters weren't that appealing to me, unlike other games in the same demographic ie Gears of War. The gravity gimmick was appealing initially but soon became boring.

I gave the game a fair go just in case it got better, but it just continued to disappoint. After about the 100th time of my character not doing what I was wanting him to do, extremely frustrated I put the game in the post without even finishing it. Which is exceptionally rare for me.

Some people have enjoyed the game, I suppose it does have a few redeeming features, but for me these are to few and infrequent. So this is one game I definitely will not be going back to, I'll just stick with Gears of War thanks.....

Must say not a bad game! would recommened for people to rent this if your after something different:) . More than likely, it will remind you of a gears of war format but takes a different outset to gears of war during ingame play

Not trying to be GoW at all!

Give it a try without thinking its a gears of war copy , i guess gears of war just set a bench mark for this particular genre of game , i play alot of games and this was one i enjoyed

an absolute snorefest. a total gears of war copy....but without any of the good bits of GoW. do yourself a favour,and give this a miss.

Gears Of Bore

A badly made Gears clone with some gravity effects shoehorned in to try and give at least some semblance of originality.

Sadly, even the games main gimmick wasn't done very well. Which is a pity because it could have been interesting if implemented better.
