Set in the fictional Middle Eastern country of Azbaristan, Jane's Advanced Strike Fighters aims to provide console and PC gamers with the most detailed war-based flight simulation possible. The once great nation has been gripped by a decade long civil war between the Northern People's Republic and the Azbaristan Democratic Front as they tussle over the small nation's oil reserves and full control of the state. Only one man can hope to bring the opposing forces together. Taking the role of Razor, a squadron leader guiding the attempt to reunify the country, Jane's Advanced Strike Fighters offers players the chance to fly thirty licensed fighter jets over sixteen huge story-based missions. Intense battles take place over huge areas of Azbaristan as you attempt to hold the country together while protecting the interests of the western world. As well as the single player mode there's a full co-op campaign available for two to four players. Multiplayer is also catered for with sixteen prospective pilots taking to the skies in huge dogfights. Taking control of some of the latest jets available from the world's greatest air forces, no matter how you play you'll experience war in naval, aerial and ground-based theatres. If you're looking for the most detailed air combat action, Jane's Advanced Strike Fighters is for you.

Terrible Air Sim. HAWX2 is so much better. Expected much more as it is supposedly supported by Jane's. Returned same day received.

nowhere near as good as hawx Its not really realistic you cant stall the engine you cant do any triks with the plane and you cant go into the other mode where you turn off the computer system in the plane that helps you fly it and take full control of the plane i sent it back after 2 or 3 levels i got really bored with it

Painfully bad

Sent it back the same day I received it. What a waste of time and energy. I want a job with the company that designed and produced this game as they don't care about standards and staff must get their wages for drinking coffee or something else.

A waste of a credit and a joke of a game.......

Not bad, but not amazing either

Not as good as ace combat 6 on the 360, but a pretty good game none-the-less. Graphics could be better and mission objectives are pretty basic (go here, shoot that) but if you're looking for a real flying game after the disappointment that was assault horizon, this should be more than capable.

(Do note however, that JASF doesn't contain an in plane view)
