Jet Set Rocks
By Jet Set Willie from Norn Iron , 22 Mar 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
Tired of playing the same old games with the same old storyline? Want the freedom to skate around the Tokyo performing tricks just for a laugh? Do you yern to go back to your youth and rage against the machines of an opressive government armed only with your spray can and grafitti soul? Well then Jet Set Radio Future is for you. Most people have never heard of this title, but most who I've forced to play it think it's smashing. It really goes against the grain of most modern games. Think Tony Hawk fights the cops, and sprays a few walls and tanks etc while he's at it. There are plenty of characters and the storyline is new and fullfilling, though obviously totally unrealistic - but hey! it's a game! If you're bored with your FPS and driving games, and Tony Hawk seems a bit too fidley for you, give Jet Set Radio a try. It rocks.- Was this review helpful to you?

Skating and vandalism is so much fun
By Fatguysmoking from Fife, Scotland , 15 Feb 2007First of all I'd like to say I hate skating games, always have, until now. JSRF is a skating game with a difference, the controls are dead easy so that even the first time you pick this game up you can do tricks, there isn't a hundred different button combinations you need to remember to do a particular trick. The game environment is also huge and you can go anywhere you like, your not stuck in a skate park, you can do tricks anywhere you want around Tokyo. Also you get to Graffitti the city as well, and spend a lot of time avoiding the corporate police who are out to stop your antisocial behaviour.
Combine that with a pretty good story line and a wealth of characters and this is a great game.- Was this review helpful to you?
