Saving the best for last is a phrase often attributed to romance, and if you pardon the pun, John Woo's Stranglehold did its best to win me over in my last appointment of this year's E3 conference in Los Angeles. Fans of Hard-Boiled, Face Off or The Killer were promised a game experience to rival the cult appeal of those movies. Described by the overexcited US Midway rep as an interactive John Woo entertainment experience (we call them games here), you control the likeness of Chow Yun-Fat in what has to be described as the most explosive game I've ever seen.

This makes for an enjoyable rent, so no regrets with having added it to the list. Like any Jon Woo film this is a great bit of escapism, but then what do you expect when the main character's(You) name is Tequila! What ever you do avoid a purchase like the plague as it really only has one play through in it. A seen it before plot and slow-time borrowed for a dozen other games makes it feel samey after only a few hours. Plus Hard mode(and OMG'Hard Boiled' mode) are close to impossible to do.

This has to be the worst thing I've ever played, along side with demo of 'Wanted - Weapon of Faith' of course. I started modern console gaming in late 2008 and have only played handful of top rated titles and obviously this game pales in comparison in my eye. Character movements are unrealistically stiff & boring, beaten-to-death slow-mo mechanics, I din't dare playing online & even for achievements can't be bother to carry-on playing. Returned it after spending nearly an hour of playing.

I did'nt like this game, with no plot and endless shooting i got bored very quickly. Thought it was going to be better as it was a john woo game. defo would not buy this game.
