Not bad, you do need lots of room though

Firstly I must point out I was at the back of my 7ft space when playing this or it wouldn't work properly.
When in position this game is actually pretty good and not only because you can rack up about 500 gamerscore in an hour.
Once you learn the ticks and how to grind properly it reminds me of a cross between Mad Dash Racing and a snowboard game. The characters each have their special abilities and the crossboards you unlock each have strengths and weaknesses.
I did sometimes find myself going very slowly down some of the courses but I don't know whether this was because I didn't have enough speed boost.
Played the multiplayer which works well but again you need plenty of space and you will sometimes find yourself poking each other in the face when you're 'gliding' but I'll let you find that out for yourselves!
Definitely worth a rent if you have enough space and if you can forgive the 'surfer dude' voiceover you've got quite a fun party game with all the other game modes included.- Was this review helpful to you?

Nice try, not quite there

By all means stick it on your rental list, but I would struggle to suggest it's worth paying £20+ for- Was this review helpful to you?

One of the better Kinect games
By a customer , 14 Apr 2011I would definitely recommend this game as it is a good fun party game, especially the multi-player.
Like the other reviews have said, you do need to be about 7ft back from the sensor but I found that the game picked up my movements accurately. I did not get frustrated with the game's accuracy like I have with others (MotionSports and Sports Island Freedom).
I have been renting Kinect games to try before I buy and along with Kinect Sports, Crossboard 7 is a game I will be buying.- Was this review helpful to you?
