It's like the next step in evolution of "point 'n' click" games.

Unique, original, and griping. It's like a cross between Grand Theft Auto 4, and the incredible classic Police Quest. Everything from the incredible facial animations, to the utterly brilliant 1940s L.A setting is just a joy to behold. But, even with all of the pros this game has (and they're are many) - people may be let down by the lack of 'sandbox' style gameplay. Especially those that are expecting L.A Noire be the same, if not very similar to Grand Theft Auto. Just keep in mind, you're a police officer - so, running people over and shooting people in the head will have repercussions.

All in all, this is probably one of the most original games on the market. There is so much attention to detail and thought and care gone into this game, that any 'hardcore gamer' will be able to appreciate the hard work gone into developing this. Just don't expect the world.

This game could keep you entertained for weeks. The physics and graphics on it are excellent and it looks very real and the story is brilliant as well.

It's a good game. Graphics are very good and face animations are the best ever in any game ever!! Game play is ok controls are abit to lose but use able. The crimes you solve are well written and well varied. The voice acting is stellar some of the best around. The hardest thing about l. a noire is the interrogations. You really have to watch the face and eyes for tells. If you don't watch you will get lost and not make the right decisions. Over all it's a great game but not for every one I'll say. But it's not GTA you must remember that yes it's in third person like GTA but the similarities end there. It's mad made by team Bondi an Australian dev team acquired buy rockstar but it's not gta.

L. A. Noire is by far the most lengthy, arduous and psychological venture undertaken by Rockstar, if you ask me.

This game isn't designed for the 'exclusively shooter' gamer, but don't mistake that for a laziness of combat gameplay! A relatively small, realistic assortment of firearms is presented to the player in L. A. Noire, but gun play comprises only a very small percentage of this game. Bullet wounds are realistic, meaning that you're probably not going to survive very long out in the open.

The bulk of L. A. Noire is based on investigation and meticulous (thorough) examining of evidence, cross-checking clues and hearing out the stories of suspects and witnesses. If you strongly dislike slow progress and emphasis on detail, this game probably isn't for you. However, if you have a knack for criminology, or simply a love for story, this game will knock you off your feet!

You play Detective Cole Phelps, one of LAPD's finest, wrapped up in multiple layers of deception, corruption and outright trickery. Covering the police desks (fields) of arson, homicide, traffic and administrative vice, you will encounter and delve into a vast multitude of crimes including hit-and-runs, fraud, attempted murder and drug trafficking; meaning that you may find yourself tackling a single killer, or a whole network of criminal businessmen.

If you give up on this game, it will probably be around the half-way point. There are twenty-one very thorough cases, and you'll be thinking 'am I done yet?' waaaay before you are. This is the only downside I can think of to the game, the sheer scale of the game in comparison to Rockstar's other titles.

This game is annoying. the whole point of the game is to gather clues to help you solve crimes and some of the clues have no relevance to the crime you are trying to solve. When questioning witnesses and suspects it is a guessing game, you have a choice of pressing one of three buttons and if you press the wrong one there is no way of rectifying your mistake without quitting and starting from last save point and then remembering which questions you pressed the right button for and which you pressed the wrong button for which makes it an annoying memory game where you quit the game lots. The controls can be annoying also

Good game

Brilliant game. One of the best games of 2011. Story is awesome, very well told and isnt short like most games these days. Sometimes I think they overdid it with the facial expressions, sometimes most of them seem over the top and that, but still one of the best games in 2011 for me :)
