    [Highly rated reviewer]

I am a fan of the films but not to the extent of obsession. Sure I know the basic story and scene structure but it really doesn’t matter if you don’t. I played most of this game in the two player mode with my girl friend (who has never seen the original trilogy). The game was brilliantly fun and hilarious. There are however some drawbacks to the game! You can not die, for some this might be a blessing. But to be honest it takes you away from caring whether you can complete it or not. Being immortal is just annoying. On a whole it’s a really strong game! I do recommend. Plus it brings back fond memories of a childhood filled with LEGO. I hope you all enjoy.

What a brilliant, if not very addictive game. The whole family enjoyed playing this so much that we have now bought a copy.

The characters are true to life, Loads of action and different levels to attain in each episode. The free play part is great as you can switch between characters whenever you like. The story follows the original films (which are by far the best ones anyway) all in all a great game 5stars!!!

I played the first Lego Star Wars game and I loved it because of its simplicity and gameplay. I had high hopes for this game, and when I got it I really enjoyed it. The game is based around the earlier Star Wars movies (Harrison Ford, etc) and not much has changed since the first game, such as using the force on objects and shooting different targets. New features in this game include building piles of Lego bricks together, different characters and custom characters. This time there are also many more levels with space craft instead of platforming levels, which gives a greater variety. This game really is great for kids as it is a lot more forgiving than other games as you can't really 'die' in the game, instead you break up and lose Lego studs (the games money) and then you reappear. The themeing is great as well with many recognisable scenes from the movies. The only problem with this game is sometimes characters get stuck on objects in the game causing you to restart but this is not very often, and the games length, the first game had this problem as well and it hasn't improved that much, the story mode would only last around 8 hours if you went straight through without getting the extras, although its probably short as kids don't want to play for ages. However if you want to unlock everything then there is loads to unlock which is great for replay value. So overall this is a great game for any age, although hardcore gamers may not like it, its a game you really should play!

Lego Star Wars II has better game play than the original Lego Star Wars. The environment is more interactive and it has much better action possibilities. The only downside is that it is slightly simple and predictable.
