(98)Is it mass borring or mass interesting
By Mikeclark24 (1 review) , 25 Feb 2013this game is one of the best i ever played. true it starts of a bit slow and for the first two hours your trapped on the citdal but after that the game really opens up. it gives the played a choice of which main objective you want to do or you can do like i did and just bum around the galaxy for four hours finding all the hidden stuff. this game set the standard for the more recent RPGs and will continue do to so as the years go by. the sequels are just as amazing and non-liner in the players options of what they want to do. in my eyes its one of the best games in the history of the RPG genre- Was this review helpful to you?

truly a work of art
By nick1991 (2 reviews) , 22 Jan 2013You don't play mass effect, you live it! Prepare to wave goodbye to months of your life as you delve into a rich universe where everyone and everything has a story. I played this game when it first came out so had to wait a couple of years to continue the trilogy, but you lucky sods don't have to wait though do you? Lol If you value a deep and rich game universe then you owe it to yourself, play this game, then play the trilogy.- Was this review helpful to you?

Mass effect part one
By Mjjw (14 reviews) from Portsmouth , 27 Oct 2012[Highly rated reviewer]
Mass effect is brilliant. You create your own comander shepherd and make your own story in a way that's never been done before. The trilogy starts here. 5/5 loved it- Was this review helpful to you?

misleadingly brilliant
By Liam-XII (3 reviews) from Kendal , 08 Jun 2012Were to start with mass effect, like most people ive spoken to their story is the same as mine, they played it for an hour and got bored as did i, 6 months it stayed in my room gathering dust until i decided to play it again and honestly it is the only game i played for a year, sad to say but i jigged so many days off college pulled sick days off work just for this game, the replay value alone is reason to play this, the story takes a little while to make sense and the citedal bit does drag but the moment your through that and in charge of your own ship the game really takes off, there is no end to where you can go, for any rpg fan this fan is a must have there are loads of side quests and a great blend of action and story, where every decision you make has serious repurcussions mass effect creates such a rich and full universe that you will get lost it, so stick with it and the only advice i will give is after ur first trip to the citedal, DO NOT GO TO NOVERIA save that planet till last, you will understand when you play, first planet to go to is the liaria digsite, then just do sidequests get to know the universe, honestly i played nothing else for roughly a year, at least not until the 2nd- Was this review helpful to you?

Disapointing and Frustrating
By pricey254 (1 review) from Skelmersdale , 17 Apr 2012It has a good story but and great graphics for its time but the game is on big maze constantly checking the map to figure out where you are going and for the auto save function it has next to bare minimum checkpoints constantly having to repeat the last 30+ minutes of gameplay.- Was this review helpful to you?
