Seriously, this game is one that is better left well alone. The initial idea is decent enough. It's a third person shooter which gives you the chance to break out from your character and take over enemies and nearby civilians. It also gives you the chance to 'mindslave' enemies to work with you. Unfortunately the delivery of this idea leaves a hell of alot to be desired. As shooters go this one is really lame. Movement has a really clunky feel and really ruins being able to play the game. Added to this is a broken cover system and enemies that can take multiple shots to the face without even flinching. One would hope that the mindjack feature would add something usefull to the game however it has a tendancy to feel more of a useless gimmick than a helpful tool. Sadly the terrible nature of this game doen't end there. The story is practically none existent and largely irrelevant to what your doing. Which is a real shame considering that the majority of the time what your doing is exactly the same. With small badly sectioned levels which end up feeling like they're all exactly the same just in different locations. Walk through here, shoot some guys, walk through there, rinse and repeat. Yet again even this simple idea is badly constructed. Mainly for the fact that when you travel through each section of a level you lose any weapons you collected in the previous section. Bare in mind that I said section, not level! Go through a door or down a hallway and that's it your back to your rather lame pistol. Which is extremely annoying considering that almost every section starts with a 'surprise' attack by a bunch of enemies. Graphically this hasn't got any real wow factors going for it. For the most part it's set in pretty simple generic places with nothing inspiring or even the slightest bit interesting to speak of. Also another disaster that's present is the voice acting. The majority of which is the sort of terrible one liners that even the worst action film would be embarressed of. Finally there is the mulitplayer. Which essentially takes the form of other human players 'hacking' into your game and choosing to help or hinder your progress. With the nature of internet being the way it is, this is more often the latter and pretty quickly becomes a redundant feature that you'll want to turn off as soon as you can decipher the overly complicated menu.

Overall the whole game is a complete and utter disaster. Not even worth the rental space, just save yourself the time and associated stress related problems and get something else!

  • Give it chance, great co-op

People play this game for 5 minutes and automatically give it 1 star. If you learn how to play the game properly, it is a very enjoyable experience.

Playing in co-op with a friend is great fun, and the ability to 'hack' into someone elses campaign game is an awesome feature - I'm sure we'll see similar ideas in games in the future.

Well worth a rent - don't let the other reviews put you off.

  • Truly Dreadful

I'm a fairly patient man and willing to give most games a chance but after just one evening this is back in the post.

The gimmick of the game - mindjacking - just doesn't work and can in no way make up for poor camera, poor sound, dreadful controls and dull, repetitive gameplay.

    Avoid.

This started off promising, and seemed like a good idea taking over someone else by pressing 'RT' but it's bit poo, I agree with the previous review, This game is worse than an episode of Deal or no Deal, Mind you it would be good to take over Noel Edmonds and make him jump over a cliff, Anyway voice acting is as wooden as B+Q,sound effects are weedy, and it takes an enormous amount of bullets to kill an enemy, and re-spawn shoot hide shoot re-spawn so on and so on zzzzzzzz

Don't bother renting save your list for some good games.
