Frustrating
By a customer from Liverpool , 27 Nov 2008[Highly rated reviewer]
This game gets 5 stars for innovation and originality and -4 for frustration:fun ratio.
I've never shouted 'what the **** are you doing *****?' at my TV before, but since I got this game (3 hours ago), I've lost count.
It can be fun at times, but most of the time, the character just decides to do something random and usually detrimental to whatever it is you're meant to be doing.
Before you get this game, you should follow my step by step guide to surviving it mentally and socially.
1. Buy some Kalms (to maintain mental health)
2. Strap pillows to your walls, ceilings and floors (to protect your expensive dual shock)
3. Soundproof your room (to maintain good relationship with neighbours)
Good luck!- Was this review helpful to you?

(49)Roll on sequel for next gen!
By a customer , 20 Apr 2013A rarity in this day and age of generic mindless COD clones and games as unoriginal as Hollywood's current remake schedule. Not only does the grey matter need a run out to figure out the level designs but you can finish this game by, shocker of all, NOT killing a single person on the way. A first person view parkour adventure game with massively addictive speedruns to complete after you blast through the pretty short story will ensure plenty, if not stress free, replayability. A truly original concept, just wish designers would come up with a few more gems like this. Add the fact you can buy it pre owned for under a fiver and you really cant complain. Might not be great if you suffer from vertigo though. I must stress its not to everyone's tastes as one of the comments on here will testify, 'Ok but too much thinking, not enough action'. For anyone with that bit of imagination that this 'reviewer' clearly does not have after too many COD matches, take a punt, you wont be sorry.- Was this review helpful to you?

Beautiful, but flawed. Still worth a look.

One of the best First-Person games I have ever played!
By declan123456789 (3 reviews) , 07 Apr 2013This game is very well made and one of EA's best. The main character, Faith, is one of the best characters I have ever played as in a video game. Her and Ethan Mars from Heavy Rain are two of the most real characters in gaming.
What about the gameplay? The parkour is very smooth and you can chain moves together really smoothly and easily. The problem I have with this game, however, is that the combat is not very good, and sometimes there are bits of the game where you have to fight. If the game had better combat or had less of that. I hope EA fixes that if they ever make a Mirror's Edge 2.
Apart from the combat, this game is almost flawless! This game is in my top 10 favorite video games! I hope you guys enjoy this game as much as I do!- Was this review helpful to you?

A good game that could have been great
By waldomagician (1 review) , 02 Dec 2012Mechanics and looks are all there it is a pity the level design is a little lacking. There are very few flowing sequences at speed which would be great to see. The slow jumping and climbing is not as fun. A good game that could have been great- Was this review helpful to you?

Superb but not for everyone it seems
By Frankshank (1 review) , 16 Feb 2012I loved this game. Sure it's tricky in parts but it's so damned original and immersive. It's a bit of a marmite game but if you love you'll really love it. It's quality.- Was this review helpful to you?
