  • Tarted Up Megadrive Game

NBA Jam plays exactly as it did when it was released on the Megadrive, same controls, same dunks, same commentary (pretty much), better graphics.

Great for a 4 player blast for an evening, but pretty tedious otherwise, but still the best basketball game I've played.

  • Made for stoners

Pretty fun, easy to get used to, good for stoners, gets boring after a while as it is esentially dunk, dunk, dunk, block opponent, dunk, dunk dunk.

  • An Almost Exact Remake

    Rated - 3.0 stars
By Goffik (13 reviews) from Bristol, England , 15 May 2011
If you played the original game back in the day, then you'll know exactly what to expect with this remake. It is practically identical in every way, the only differences being that the audio and visuals are better. The controls and gameplay are identical, and even the humorous commentary brings back memories.

The trouble is that while all this is great if you were a big fan of the original or simply for nostalgia's sake, it doesn't make for a particularly brilliant game in the year 2011. It's simplicity make it very easy to pick up and play while at the same time making it get repetitive rather quickly, which ultimately leads to boredom.

Overall, a fun game to rent for those wanting a trip down memory lane. However, those that really want a basketball game may want to look elsewhere.
