This game is what i've been looking for for a long time, regardless that people complain about the customization. It's going back to it's original roots. Which is a good choice to make, considering that every recent need for speed game has lost it's soul. It has amazing replay value with the online, and the single player aswell. It is a must buy, it's made by the creators of the highly rated burnout series, so if you liked burnout, you'll love this. Autolog brings a new competitive side to gaming as we know it and is a brilliant tool included with the game.

Great arcade racer, return to form for NFS series, love how there's no story but 2 careers, recommend a bargain buy or rental

best NFS on the ps3 and my favourite racing game. there no stupid storyline just racing and smashing up cop cars. i would reccomend buying this tho as you need a online pass and there lots of extra maps that you can buy.

  • A game of both extremes, Loved it and Hated it

Well this game started as a disappointment as I have greatly enjoyed the earlier games in this series on the PS2.

They have removed the free roam aspect of the general gameplay and there is no storyline like I enjoyed in Carbon and seeing in Undercover.

However, I played anyway as many games seem to improve through the game. The driving skill and ability is competitive and the online competition with your friends appealed to my masculine competitive side. I found myself wanting to go back to the game and ended up buying a copy.

The best way to view this game is as a stand alone driving game of its own merit and not part of the Need for Speed Franchise. The option to play for both sides was very good but the lack of customisation can be a loss for tuner favoured players.

Maybe the worst game I've ever played, writing this review is way more fun. The game is very generic, could be acceptable last decade, but c'mon, after playing GT5 like forever, God, I tought Shift 2 was bad, but this...

NFS just feels plain and stupid, why don't they just remake Underground 2, I'd play that again, scratch that, I'd play project ghotam racing, I had 50x more fun with that 10 years ago and 100x more fun with metropolis street racer on the dreamcast. Thinking of that, what have they done in Hot pursuit that wasn't done a decade before?

If you liked it, oh well, good for you, if not, I highly recomend GRID, it's a better arcade racer in every way, thinking of that, where have I put my copy?......
