Laugh out loud fun on multiplayer
By a customer from Hampshire , 28 Nov 2009[Highly rated reviewer]
Platform games at its best. Wii Super Mario Bros is more reminiscent of the classic Super Nintendo mario games, rather than the DS one. It works, the graphics are great and smooth and some gameplay is hard. With the help of Luigi Superguide, who comes along after you've lost 10 times (!), I managed to get to World 8 in 3 days. However to get to the final world, you need to collect every single coin. I'm still trying...... However the best thing about this game is its multiplayer capability. The opportunity for dirty tricks against your opponents is great, but the multiplayer ability also lets you help a younger player who may be struggling on some levels.
Absolute must!- Was this review helpful to you?

BLAST from the past!
By ShoutOut (136 reviews) , 08 Feb 2012Just as I remembered it on my sister's Nintendo.
Brilliant fun, me and my sister were shoting out load and I didn't know I could laugh out loud so much. The next door neighbours must have been wondering what was going on.
Only problem I experienced is, we had to work out all the controls etc ourselves as we didn't have the case or instructions which may have helped us get started.
I still rated it a 4* though, for pure pleasure and the blast from the past.- Was this review helpful to you?

One for the family collection
By Marc F from Suffolk, England , 11 Dec 2011[Highly rated reviewer]
Boys (4,6): 5/5
Adults: 4/5
Total time playing: >10hrs, still play frequently.
Going back to the ideas of the original arcade Mario (forget these whipper snappers that mention the new 'nes' version...) but with some great modern extras and, of course, multiplayer.
Having youngsters means it's all about team work for us, so will be a different (and likely very fun) experience if you're playing competitively. You'll be missing out if you play this single player.
Slight niggle is that when someone gets hit or falls off the screen, there's a slight pause which can completely throw off timings on jumps etc.
It's great to introduce some platform gaming to the next generation where it's mostly 3d this, 3d that.
One for the family collection.- Was this review helpful to you?

its good, but marios been so much better
By majortom666 (71 reviews) from London , 17 May 2011Much, much better than the depressingly lightweight bit of fluff that was nsmb on the ds, but it still feels like a step back from super mario galaxy and super mario 64. It cant even stand up to the older two dimensional masterpieces. My advice? Get super mario galaxy and super mario galaxy 2, get mario 64 and mario bros 3 from the virtual console and enjoy spme true mario brilliance.- Was this review helpful to you?
