Best game I've played in a long, long time
By Oli Shard from Newbury , 30 Mar 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
I agree with the other reviewer this game is amazing. The graphics are lush, music is traditional Japanenese fare with lots of banging drums and the gameplay is so addictive its one of the few games I have to dip into everyday without fail.
Not sure how this game can be completed in 24 hours as I'm up to the 32 hour mark and I'm only half way through. To note without giving away any spoilers this game is split into two parts and I completed the first part within 20 hours.
Once you get into it you do not want it to finish.........Absolute Class!!!!!- Was this review helpful to you?

(9)Beautiful
By Zatoichi (14 reviews) from Brighton , 16 Feb 2009Where to start. This game is amazing. Beautiful (if it didn't have Playstation 2 written on disc I woul believe it's PS3 game - and it works on PS3 as a charm). Original, funny, music is wonderfully chilled out, this game is nothing like others. I am deffinitely going to buy it. It's great to play a game where blood doesn't come floating from TV in streams. There are some fights, but even than the game is just one big chill out. Do yourself a favour and try this game.- Was this review helpful to you?

Okami
By Nadia1970 (4 reviews) from London , 05 Jan 2008When I first started to play it I thought it was the weirdest game I had ever seen However, within a very short space of time I was thoroughly addicted. Completely different to anything else I've played - it's great! There are lots of side quests which aren't always apparent so you might need a walkthrough.- Was this review helpful to you?

Beautiful
By glennok (17 reviews) from Ashurst Wood , 24 Sep 2007If there is one title that proves games can be an artform - its Okami: The visuals are striking throughout, everything is styled from Japanese watercolours and woodcarvings, and it comes vibrantly to life.
The gameplay borrows heavily, repeat !heavily!, from Zelda. But instead of ripping it off, it almost pays tribute to Zelda, whilst adding its own unique and amazing touches. The Celestial Brush being the most ingenious. A great adventure game, a huge sprawling world packed with things to do. It has its occasional flaws but is an amazing swan song for the PS2.
I would not recommend this as a rental however, as (taking side quests in to account) it can be atleast 30hrs +.
In hindsight I should have just bought it, as you can find it fairly cheap at the moment.
But amazing title, and its a massive tragedy that Clover have been closed down. Its an injustice that games like this go unnoticed.- Was this review helpful to you?

wow.....wow.....oh my god....wow
By Tobie25 (9 reviews) from Broadstairs , 22 Sep 2007What a hidden game. I was told to get this game many months ago, but when i was told 'you play as the wolf' it really put you off. eventually it arrived at my door and i put it on expecting to send it back that same day. Boy was i wrong. After a truley mesmerising intro you start your adventure. Armed with a celestrial paint brush and a 'jimmerny cricket' type side kick you set off to save the world in one of the most orriginal, exciting and down right breath taking games i have played in a long time. Get it. No matter if your man, woman, old or young you will love every secound.- Was this review helpful to you?
