Abysmal

At first I thought that this game would be worth a rental for some easy achievments and a bit of a laugh with my mates, alas, no. From the outset it was perpetually disappointing, with graphics that would make a PS1 blush and frame rates borrowed from the late 90's being just the start of Onechanbara's problems. I thought maybe I could shrug off the graphical issues if there were some laughs in store in the game, but once again I find myself reaching for my big rubber 'FAIL' stamp. The in-game action is nothing short of abysmal; repetetive, bland, uninspired hack-and-slash gameplay that leaves you bored after five minutes, (if you're lucky.)
In short, Onechanbara had potential to be a good old fashion lol-fest full of zombies, gore and bikinis, instead you will find graphics and gameplay that are unnacceptable for a next-gen console. Avoid this game like the zombie-plague it so poorley tries to convey.- Was this review helpful to you?

By Klanga (1 review) , 18 May 2013I ignored the critics and added this to my rental list and if it wasn't part of a free trial I'd be looking for a refund. From the choppy frame rate of the opening sequence this goes downhill fast. Simple, repetitive game play and ugly graphics make for an embarrassing experience. Even for an old title this looks and plays worse than almost anything out there. Not even worth a play for the novelty value. You have been warned.- Was this review helpful to you?

A Game for those who are easily amused by jiggling body parts

I played this game for a good hour and a half and was sorry to say but the only redeeming quality this game has is the realistic physics the games creators have put into the female characters you play as- Was this review helpful to you?

First review, I had to get this off my chest.
By MattFairfield (2 reviews) from Northolt , 23 Oct 2009I do not base my choice on games by reviews. Why? Because I have a different taste to most. EXAMPLE: Left 4 Dead – I do not like it. Its OK, but becomes boring after 20 minutes (My opinion!)
Anyway, what everyone has stated is true. This game is boring, has graphics that could be considered pre-Amiga (Not true, but feels true), and was in my X-box for 5 minutes. The only redeeming feature I can think of is that I never bought the game. If I had I would have burnt it… seriously!
Worst thing, I am returning the game in the middle of a postal strike. I am not getting another game until Tues or weds. WHAT A WASTE!- Was this review helpful to you?
