Its a Knockout!!!

This game is good. I need to make sure you that.
Now, what you also need to know is that this game probably isn't for younger children. If you've played Wii boxing, and think this is more of the same, then you would be wrong.
What this game is is a very strategic boxing game. You see, each boxer that you play against has his own moves or weaknesses. And, you must block, dodge, and punch at just the right time to win. For people who haven't played the older 'Punch Out!!' games before, it gets very hard towards the end - with lots of trial and error, having to learn from your mistakes, get up of the mat and start again. You can not just punch randomaly. I promise you will lose after the first two boxers.
So, if you are planning to buy this for your 5 year old son who just loves Wii Boxing - forget it. But if you are willing to invest a little time, don't get frustrated easily and want a properly hardcore game on the Wii, this is perfect.- Was this review helpful to you?

3D Graphics..........What a lie!!!!!

Punch Out!!
By a customer from London , 28 Apr 2010I have to say that I wasn't expecting much from this title but I was pleasantly surprised.
This game is great fun, and even though it's not quite aimed at hard core gamers it has a nice difficulty balance making it fun to all levels of players.
As usual, being a Nintendo game, it is required to use your brain a little to figure out the patterns for each enemy, and although it might sound easy, don't be fooled by it.

BRILLIANT
By Maccacan (7 reviews) from Manchester , 02 Feb 2010I decided to get more use out of my Wii recently having only got a couple of the 'sports' games and chose PUNCH OUT simply because of the good reviews.
Within a few minutes I was hooked. The controls are really simple as you would expect with a fighting game and using a Wii controller. As other reviews have already mentioned each fighter has their own individual character, strengths and weaknesses. This means no two fighters are the same and the game play can get really tactical, even when you think you know what you have to do to beat them it still took me several attempts to do so but when I did I had a genuine big, fat smile on my face. Having completed it I can now return it and therefore the rental option of 'play and return' is better than buying it. I would recommend this to everyone... Awful - do not bother
